HIDROZOOS DE LA FAMILIA AGLAOPHENIIDAE DE LA PLATAFORMA CONTINENTAL Y TALUD SUPERIOR DEL CARIBE COLOMBIANO
2016
A taxonomic study of hydroids of the Aglaopheniidae family collected on soft bottoms of Colombian Caribbean Sea between 20 and 500 m depth in March 2001 was made. Two genera and six species were found, highlighting Aglaophenia elongata, A. lophocarpa and A. tridentata as new records for Colombian waters. Additionally, the bathymetric distribution for Aglaophenia latecarinata and A. tridentata was expanded. In general, morphological characters of the species studied did not show significant differences regarding the taxonomic descriptions made by other authors. This report contains taxonomic files and images of the species described and annotations about general composition, distribution and…

Estudio del art. 207 CP en clave jurisprudencial
Análisis jurisprudencial de la legitimación pasiva de las entidades financieras en las reclamaciones realizadas por consumidores derivadas de una com…
2021
Consumers, who acquired real estate through a deed of sale with a mortgage subrogation, have made numerous claims against the financial entities. They request the nullity of the clause that imposes upon them all the expenses cause by the notarial deed. Financial entities have alleged that they do not have the capacity to be sued. Courts decisions have been diverse.
Search for a Dark Leptophilic Scalar in e(+) e(-) Collisions
2020
Many scenarios of physics beyond the standard model predict the existence of new gauge singlets, which might be substantially lighter than the weak scale. The experimental constraints on additional scalars with masses in the MeV to GeV range could be significantly weakened if they interact predominantly with leptons rather than quarks. At an e+e- collider, such a leptophilic scalar (φL) would be produced predominantly through radiation from a τ lepton. We report herein a search for e+e-→τ+τ-φL, φL→ℓ+ℓ- (ℓ=e, μ) using data collected by the BABAR experiment at SLAC. No significant signal is observed, and we set limits on the φL coupling to leptons in the range 0.04<mφL<7.0 GeV. These bounds s…
In the present work it is realized a comparison of the provided resources and the services that are offered in the dependent libraries of the University of Valencia (UV), th…
Integrated simulation and optimization models for tracking international fixed income indices
2001
Portfolio managers in the international fixed income markets must address jointly the interest rate risk in each market and the exchange rate volatility across markets. This paper develops integrated simulation and optimization models that address these issues in a common framework. Monte Carlo simulation procedures generate jointly scenarios of interest and exchange rates and, thereby, scenarios of holding period returns of the available securities. The portfolio manager’s risk tolerance is incorporated either through a utility function or a (modified) mean absolute deviation function. The optimization models prescribe asset allocation weights among the different markets and also resolve b…

La Customer Satisfaction dei Servizi Bibliotecari Universitari. Uno Studio Empirico su Due Biblioteche Universitarie Italiane con il Modello di Kano.
2012
Attuned HRM Systems for Social Enterprises
2021
This paper is motivated by a puzzling observation made when conducting a case study of ProCredit (PC), a well-known social bank. The HR practices that this social enterprise (SE) adopted to cultivate mission identification were unfavorably impacting its retention rate. Building on prior research and our analysis of the case, we argue the need for SEs to embrace HRM systems that are both mission-identification proactive and employee-retention preemptive. It theorizes that these HRM systems should be attuned to the labor market conditions (e.g., market segmentation and competition for employees) that frame how SEs develop and sustain Person-Organization (P-O) fit. Attuned HRM systems are adap…
Reliability Analysis of a Stand-Alone PV System for the Supply of a Remote Electric Load
2010
The work presents a reliability analysis of a stand-alone photovoltaic system for the supply of electric loads located in remote areas not easily reachable by the low voltage distribution network. The analysis is performed by characterizing the electric load behavior by means of a Montecarlo approach for taking into account the stochastic variability of the electrical energy demand. A Montecarlo approach is used also for evaluating the electricity production of the stand alone photovoltaic system as a function of the hourly solar irradiation of the installation site. The variability both of the load and of the energy production are correlated and the probability that the load can remain uns…
