Firms are under constant pressure from various governmental and nongovernmental agencies to switch from conventional environmentally polluting products to green product innovations (GPIs). However, the relevant research pertaining to GPI has been published in a diverse set of journals that vary in their scope and readership and, therefore, the scholarly contribution to the topic remains largely fragmented. Productivity dynamics and the productivity trap: problems and solutions in Latvia

By analysing changes in productivity and labour costs in Latvia from 2013 till 2017, we can see that growth of labour costs exceeds the growth of productivity by more than 2 times in both, tradable sector and total economy. Slow growth in productivity compared with the labour and other production expenses lead to an increase in the price of final goods and services, which negatively corresponds with producers’ competitiveness in both internal and external market. Furthermore, this leads to a drop-in consumption of domestic production and inefficient production facility usage, resulting in declining economic growth rates. The article focuses on the analysis of the understanding of “formula of happiness” of Jānis Pliekšāns (Rainis), lawyer, philosopher and the most famous Latvian poet. Rainis’ works were created at the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries. This is the time when the legal consciousness of the Latvian State was evolving and the Republic of Latvia was proclaimed (1918). Rainis’ views in the philosophy of law were significantly influenced by the theory of Marxism and the fight for rights described by Rudolf von Ihering. The paper explores how boundaries affect the search for identity in the context of racism and colonialism. Colonized individuals often experience a sense of alienation and inferiority caused by the limitations imposed by colonial power structures, leading to a quest for personal identity. However, the binary division between the colonizer and colonized affects everyone involved, making searching for personal identity more complex and reinforcing systemic racism. Izdegšanas un stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju saistības strādājošiem un nestrādājošiem studentiem

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot vai pastāv izdegšanas un stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju rādītāju statistiski nozīmīga saistība strādājošu un nestrādājošu studentu grupās. Pētījumā piedalījās 100 respondenti (N=100), vecumā no 17 līdz 55 gadiem, no tiem 60 sievietes un 40 vīrieši. Pētījuma gaitā, respondenti tika iedalīti 2 grupās (katrā grupā 50 respondenti). 50 respondenti, kuri tikai studē un 50 respondenti, kuri studē un strādā. Kā mērinstrumenti tikai izmantota akadēmiskās izdegšanas aptauja studentiem un stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju aptauja. Respondentiem tika lūgts aizpildīt aptauju elektroniski.
