Transforming growth factor beta1 T29C gene polymorphism and hypertension: relationship with cardiovascular and renal damage.

Distribution of T29C TGFb1 gene polymorphism was analysed in 260 hypertensive and 134 normotensive subjects. Circulating TGFb1 and procollagen type III levels, microalbuminuria, left ventricular geometry and function were evaluated in all the hypertensives subgrouped according to T29C TGFb1 gene polymorphism. Circulating TGFb1by ELISA technique, procollagen type III by a specific radioimmunoassay, microalbuminuria by radioimmunoassay, left ventricular geometry and function by echocardiography were determined. The title compound, C³³H³F²⁰N³O⁴, is a highly fluorinated organic imide that was isolated as an unexpected product from the reaction of 2,6-diaminopyridine with 2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzoyl chloride in a 1:2 molar ratio. The molecule is located on a twofold axis and one of its symmetry-independent 2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzoyl groups is disordered over two sets of sites, the occupancy of the major component being 0.773 (3). In the major component, the dihedral angle between the perfluorophenyl groups is 63.64 (10)°, and these groups form dihedral angles of 67.14 (7) and 21.1 (2)° with the pyridine core. Majority of the health risks and diseases in the modern world are related to lifestyles, e.g., overweight, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, sleep deprivation, and stress. Behavioral change towards healthy lifestyles is the key to the prevention and management of these risks, but early and efficient interventions are scarcely available. We present the Nuadu Concept, an ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) assisted wellness toolbox for the management of multiple, behavior-originated health risks. The case for strategic international alliances to harness nutritional genomics for public and personal health

Nutrigenomics is the study of how constituents of the diet interact with genes, and their products, to alter phenotype and, conversely, how genes and their products metabolise these constituents into nutrients, antinutrients, and bioactive compounds. Results from molecular and genetic epidemiological studies indicate that dietary unbalance can alter gene-nutrient interactions in ways that increase the risk of developing chronic disease. The interplay of human genetic variation and environmental factors will make identifying causative genes and nutrients a formidable, but not intractable, challenge. Piesātināto dikarbonskābju molekulāro raksturlielumu ietekme uz to termiskās kokristalizācijas reakciju norisi ar nikotīnamīdu un izonikotīnamīdu

Darbā ir veikta termiska kokristālu iegūšana ar dikarbonskābēm, izmantojot diferenciālo termisko analīzi un rentgendifraktometriju. Kokristālu iegūšanā kā bāze tika izmantots nikotīnamīds un izonikotīnamīds. Darba gaitā tika iegūti dati par nikotīnamīda-dikarbonskābju un izonikotīnamīda-dikarbonskābju maisījumu eitektiskajām temperatūrām un kokristālu kušanas temperatūrām atkarībā no to sastāvā esošo dikarbonskābju oglekļa atomu skaita. Lietojot rentgendifraktometru, tika noteikta kokristālu rašanās paaugstinātā temperatūrā, kā arī iegūtās polimorfās formas.

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kāds bija Latgales identitātes diskurss laikrakstā “Latgolas Vōrds” Kārļa Ulmaņa autoritārā režīma laikā no 1935. gada līdz 1940. gadam. Teorijā aplūkota identitātes teorētiskā izpratne, nacionālā un reģionālā identitāte, iztēlotās kopienas jēdziens, kā arī ideoloģija un reprezentācija. Diskursa vēsturiskās analīzes un kvantitatīvās kontentanalīzes rezultāti liecina, ka reprezentētā Latgales reģionālā identitāte ir nacionālās identitātes sastāvdaļa, kas balstās uz konkrētā reģiona atšķirīgajām iezīmēm, salīdzinot ar citiem reģioniem. Kontrastin lisääminen puukuidun rakenteen selvittämiseksi ja paikallistamiseksi paperiarkista röntgentomografialla

Pro gradu -tutkielman kirjallisuusosassa tavoitteena oli esitellä kemiallisia kontrastin lisäysmenetelmiä puukuitumateriaalille. Kontrastin lisäyksen tavoitteena on pystyä paikallistamaan kuitufraktioita, kuten nanoselluloosaa ja hienoainesta, paperiarkista röntgentomografiakuvauksen avulla. Kuidun eri kerrosten kontrastien lisääminen toisiin kerroksiin nähden auttaisi myös kuidun yksityiskohtaisen kerrosrakenteen määrittämisessä tomografiakuvantamisella, mikä on myös yhtenä tavoiteltavana kohteena. Bakalaura darba autore, veicot uzņēmuma SIA „Avoti 93” finanšu analīzi, secina, ka debitoru parādu īpatsvars bilancē ir samērā liels un pakļauj uzņēmumu finanšu riskam. Uzņēmums koncentrējas uz preču pārdošanu uz pēcapmaksas principiem, tāpēc ir ļoti būtiski sekot līdzi klientu rēķinu laicīgai apmaksai par saņemtajām precēm. Darba mērķis ir veikt uzņēmuma SIA „Avoti 93” debitoru parādu struktūras analīzi par periodu no 2011. gada līdz 2013. gadam, izstrādāt uzņēmuma kredītpolitiku un rast risinājumus parādu atgūšanai.
