Ympäristövaikutusten arviointiin liittyvät selvitykset maatuulivoimahankkeissa
2016
Euroopan Unioni on asettanut Suomelle tavoitteeksi tuottaa 38 % energian loppukulutuksesta uusiutuvilla energiantuotantolähteillä vuonna 2020. Tuulivoima on Suomessa varsin uusi energiantuotantomuoto, minkä vuoksi tuulivoimahankkeiden YVA-menettelyjen (ympäristövaikutusten arviointimenettely) toteuttamistavat vaihtelevat paljon hankkeiden välillä. Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitettiin, miten maatuulivoimaloiden ympäristövaikutuksia on Suomessa arvioitu. Tarkastelu rajattiin tuulivoiman merkittävimpiin vaikutuksiin ja tutkimuksen laatijan omiin mielenkiinnon kohteisiin. Tutkimus on toteutettu dokumenttianalyysinä ennen vuoden 2014 syksyä valmistuneista YVA-selostuksista kaksivaiheisella koodausme…
An IPMSM torque/weight and torque/moment of inertia ratio optimization
2014
In this paper, a torque/weight and torque/moment of inertia ratio optimization procedure for interior permanent magnet syncronous motors (IPMSMs) is presented. More in detail, a performance comparison between several IPMSM rotor structures has been carried out in order to determine the optimum geometry that can maximize the torque/weight and torque/moment of inertia ratios. A commercial motor, with known electrical and mechanical characteristics, has been taken as reference. Its rotor structure has been modified several times, obtaining different rotor geometries and, therefore, many IPMSM models with different electrical and mechanical characteristics. The finite element method (FEM) analy…
Labour Market Demands, Employability and Authenticity
2021
AbstractFinding employment has been a challenge for young adults in recent years. This is not only due to high unemployment rates, but also because entering working life is more complicated than before. It is no longer just a question of credentials and skills. ‘Employability’ depends on investments in personal capacities: labour market demands in recruitment exceed the capacity of employees’ bodies and minds. This article asks what demands for increasing one’s employability young adults (aged 18–30) experience in relation to their education and working life and how they respond to these ideas, especially to the idea of modifying their minds and bodies—habitus—in order to increase their emp…
Consumption of ultra-processed foods : an assessment of the literature on determinants of ultra-processed food consumption and an investigation of th…
2016
Masteroppgave folkehelsevitenskap - Universitetet i Agder 2016 Background Highly processed foods have been classified as ultra-processed, and consumption of such foodstuffs have expanded rapidly over the last decades. Ultra-processed foods are characterized as being accessible, attractive, palatable and often time-saving. An excess intake of ultra-processed foods has been associated with increased risk of e.g. overweight/obesity and diabetes type II. The aim of this master’s project was to investigate factors influencing consumption of ultra-processed foods. This resulted in one review paper on young adults, and one cross-sectional study where the association between time scarcity and ultra…
Nurture and play for foster families with young children : Foster-parents’ reflections on attachment-focused group intervention
2022
An insecure attachment history puts foster children at risk for many kinds of difficulties, which may include psychopathology. Nurture and Play (NaP) for foster families–intervention for children aged one to five years of age aims to help the new attachment relationship between foster parents and their young children develop in a secure direction. The aim of this study is to gain deeper understanding on how foster parents use their mentalization skills to reflect the different meanings of the NaP for foster families–intervention. A stimulated recall method was chosen to correspond to these research targets. It was revealed that parents’ reflections were evidently focused on the child, the i…
Meeting the WHO 24-h guidelines among 2–6-year-old children by family socioeconomic status before and during the COVID-19 pandemic : a repeated cross…
2023
Background The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed guidelines for 24-h physical activity (PA), sedentary behaviour and sleep for young children. Lower socioeconomic status (SES) has been linked to a lower likelihood of meeting these guidelines. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) raised concerns about young children’s opportunities to meet the guidelines. The study focused on the prevalence of meeting the WHO’s 24-h guidelines on screen time (ST), PA and sleep among 2–6-year-old children, in association with family SES, before COVID-19 outbreak in 2019, and during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021 in Finland. Methods Data were collected at three timepoints by an o…
Teenage Violence Toward Parents – in Search of the Theoretical Bases of a Research Tool
2020
The article contains an analysis of results of the available research on the phenomenon of children’s violence toward their parents. The main purpose of this interpretation is to search for the theoretical structure of a prepared research tool, initially called the Teen Violence Scale Toward Parents (TVSTP). The subject of the analyzes were works and research reports as well as police statistics containing information on the phenomenon of domestic violence, including teenage violence toward parents. As a result of the analysis, the theoretical function of the proposed research tool was distinguished, referring to types of violence possible to diagnose within this area. The proposed tool was…
The use of digital analytics for measuring and optimizing digital marketing performance
2016
Demonstrating the monetary outcomes of marketing is no longer considered a virtue but a necessity by the top management. Marketers are increasingly held accountable for their actions, yet most marketers struggle in their attempts to measure marketing performance. The emergence of digital analytics tools (e.g., Web analytics) has raised optimism of improved measurability due to its ability to track customer behavior in the digital environment. However, research lacks a clear understanding of the opportunities and limitations of digital analytics, and what it takes from an organization to make the most of its usage. The dissertation advances the knowledge in this area by investigating how ind…
Judaizm i chrześcijaństwo - dwie drogi zbawienia : filary myślenia religijnego Franza Rosenzweiga
2017
Franz Rosenzweig belongs to a group of philosophers who have never crossed the threshold of a wider popularity. This does not change the fact that his philosophical thought is significant. Article aims to aprximate the key issues which make the specifics of his philosophy. These include, above all, a new concept of experience, developed in opposition to the narrower interpretations of Kant and British empiricists. Absolute empiricism, as he Rosenzweig describes his philosophy, it is possible to und erstand only through taking into account the categories of time and the category the Other. The main part of my article concerns this problem. Finally, my considerations going towards explaining …
Acs zīlītes atbildes reakcijas izmaiņa dienas garumā uz impulsa stimulu
2016
Metodika: Pētījumā piedalījās 8 dalībnieki vecumā no 15 līdz 23 gadiem. Eksperiments risinājās darba dienas garumā no 9 rītā līdz 16 pēcpusdienā.
