In this research we will talk about the term Hornїca in the language of the Rusyns who live in modern Serbia and Croatia. The origin of the toponym is due to historical and geographical factors. During the twentieth century, the community used this toponym in texts of various genres to describe the territory of its origin in the Carpathian region. This toponym is used with other geographical names - in particular Zakarpattja, or outdated or archaic forms of Carpathian Ukraine and Subcarpathian Rus`. Social rating agencies implement complex filters to identify the companies with the best sustainable and social performance and help investors select the companies for their sustainable portfolios. This study analysed whether companies that are defined as ethical, sustainable and socially responsible by those agencies actually deserve this label. The assessment of wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) performance has gained the interest of water utilities and water regulators. Eco-efficiency has been identified as a powerful indicator, as it integrates economic and environmental variables into a single index. Most previous studies have employed traditional data envelopment analysis (DEA) for the evaluation of WWTP eco-efficiency. However, DEA allows the selection of input and output weights for individual WWTPs for the calculation of eco-efficiency scores. Este artículo presenta una investigación llevada a cabo en el sector cerámico español. Su objetivo radica en determinar el grado de uso de algunas de las prácticas más representativas de la producción ajustada (PA) y su efecto sobre los niveles de calidad y productividad de estas empresas. Se presentan los resultados de 76 plantas industriales (un 79,17% de la población total) dedicadas a la monococción: porosa, gres y gres porcelánico. La conclusión más destacada es que, contrariamente a lo esperado, apenas se utiliza la PA por parte de estas empresas, sin que ello sea obstáculo para que las plantas alcancen unos altos índices de calidad y productividad.
