Automatic EMI filter design for power electronic converters oriented to high power density

In this paper, a complete computer aided procedure based on the power density concept and aimed at the automatic design of EMI filters for power electronic converters is presented. It is rule-based, and it uses suitable databases built-up by considering information on passive components available from commercial datasheets. In this paper, we present a joint power allocation and adaptive link selection protocol for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based network consists of one source node i.e., base station (BS), one destination node i.e., (MU) and a buffer aided decode and forward (DF) relay node. Our objective is to maximize the average throughput of the system via power loading over different subcarriers at source and relay nodes. Trajectory robust control of autonomous quadcopters based on model decoupling and disturbance estimation

In this article, a systematic procedure is given for determining a robust motion control law for autonomous quadcopters, starting from an input–output linearizable model. In particular, the suggested technique can be considered as a robust feedback linearization (FL), where the nonlinear state-feedback terms, which contain the aerodynamic forces and moments and other unknown disturbances, are estimated online by means of extended state observers. Multidirectional Scratch Detection and Restoration in Digitized Old Images

Line scratches are common defects in old archived videos, but similar imperfections may occur in printed images, in most cases by reason of improper handling or inaccurate preservation of the support. Once an image is digitized, its defects become part of that image. Many state-of-the-art papers deal with long, thin, vertical lines in old movie frames, by exploiting both spatial and temporal information. In this paper we aim to face with a more challenging and general problem: the analysis of line scratches in still images, regardless of their orientation, color, and shape. We present a detection/restoration method to process this defect.

Adaptive sparse representation of continuous input for tsetlin machines based on stochastic searching on the line

This paper introduces a novel approach to representing continuous inputs in Tsetlin Machines (TMs). Instead of using one Tsetlin Automaton (TA) for every unique threshold found when Booleanizing continuous input, we employ two Stochastic Searching on the Line (SSL) automata to learn discriminative lower and upper bounds. The two resulting Boolean features are adapted to the rest of the clause by equipping each clause with its own team of SSLs, which update the bounds during the learning process. A New Approach to the Modeling of Anisotropic Media with the Transmission Line Matrix Method

A reformulation of the Transmission Line Matrix (TLM) method is presented to model non-dispersive anisotropic media. Two TLM-based solutions to solve this problem can already be found in the literature, each one with an interesting feature.
