Our clinical population numbered 8516 patients with primary and metastatic brain tumors who underwent evaluation by computed tomography at the neurosurgical and neuroradiologic departments of the Berlin, Mainz, and Munich centers from 1975 to 1986 and at the Neurosurgical Department of Augsburg Central Hospital from 1983 to 1986. Table 5 lists all the tumors having an incidence greater than 1% in the total population; 98% of the lesions were confirmed histologically (open surgery, stereotactic biopsy, autopsy). “Rare” intracranial tumors having an incidence no greater than 1% are listed in Table 6. Forensic tools for the diagnosis of electrocution death: Case study and literature review

Diagnosis of death by electrocution may be difficult when electric marking is not visible or unclear. Accordingly, the body of a man who appeared to have died from accidental electrocution was carefully forensically analysed. Macroscopic and microscopic analysis of the current mark was carried out using a variable-pressure scanning electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive X-ray microanalyser to highlight skin metallisation, indicating the presence of iron and zinc. Background Endovascular treatment with stent-assisted Guglielmi detachable coils is an accepted method for treating intracranial giant aneurysms that otherwise would require more invasive or destructive treatment or could not be treated at all. Nevertheless, there is a paucity of information concerning inner postcoiling aneurysmal changes in human subjects over the long term. Koncepcja, metody badań: Sięgając do definicji terminów związanych z pojęciem wiarygodność odniesiono je do serwisów internetowych. Na tej podstawie stworzono konceptualne ramy oceny wiarygodności dla takich serwisów. Synthesis and Antiproliferative Activity of 2,5-bis(3′-Indolyl)pyrroles, Analogues of the Marine Alkaloid Nortopsentin

2,5-bis(3′-Indolyl)pyrroles, analogues of the marine alkaloid nortopsentin, were conveniently prepared through a three step procedure in good overall yields. Derivatives 1a and 1b exhibited concentration-dependent antitumor activity towards a panel of 42 human tumor cell lines with mean IC50 values of 1.54 μM and 0.67 μM, respectively. Investigating human tumor xenografts in an ex-vivo clonogenic assay revealed selective antitumor activity, whereas sensitive tumor models were scattered among various tumor histotypes.
Ahromatopsijas izpausmju korekcija ar krāsainām kontaktlēcām

MĒRĶIS: Novērtēt filtru kontaktlēcu (KL) pielietojumu ahromatopsijas simptomu korekcijai. METODE: Pētījumā piedalījās 8 dalībnieki (6 sievietes un 2 vīrieši) vecumā no 8 mēnešiem līdz 25 gadiem, periodā no 2012. līdz 2016.gadam. Pēc oftalmoloģiskās pārbaudes un ahromatopsijas noteikšanas, tika veikta speciālās krāsainās KL pielaikošanas procedūra. Pacientu atbildes tika noteiktas ar anketas palīdzību un noteikts apžilbšanas laiks ar un bez piedāvātām KL. SECINĀJUMI: filtru KL samazināja fotofobiju; apžilbšanas laiks kļuvis salīdzināms ar normālā redzes gadījumu; dalībnieki atzinīgi novērtē psiholoģiskos un sociālos ieguvumus ar izrakstītām filtru KL.

W pracy przedstawiono wielokryterialną metodę podejmowania decyzji: rozmytą metodę TOPSIS. Jest to alternatywa dla metod AHP, TOPSIS, ELECTRE lub PROMETHEE. W pracy przedstawiono możliwość zastosowania rozmytej metody TOPSIS w zarządzaniu łańcuchem dostaw żywności (FSCM). W tym celu przedstawiono krótki przegląd literatury. Następnie przedstawiono rozmytą metodę TOPSIS, na końcu artykułu pokazano możliwość zastosowania metody do rozwiązania problemu.

The aim of the paper is to present the methods of creating multi-dimensional reconstructions used in modern forensic medicine and state-of-the-art autopsy technique. Making use of the computer tomography technology and sophisticated software by the forensic pathologists allows a new standard of quality to be introduced into the forensic medical examination and hitherto unprecedented effects to be obtained.
