Memories of video gaming culture on YouTube

Within the patrimonialization of video gaming, the status of memory representations is still unknown. On YouTube, amateur video makers present games from the 1970s through to the 1990s, combining voice and screencast. By reviewing these low audience channels and interviewing their creators, we have tried to understand the current trends in amateur videos. The ensuing results highlight the diversity of the relationship to memory. Productions are supported by a seminal viewer practice (Web, TV), and a diversified frame: recreational computing, conservation, web archives, emulation. Notes on Shore Flies (Diptera: Ephydridae) from Finland and north-western Russia

The recent checklist of the Ephydridae of Finland by Zatwarnicki and Kahanpää (2014) mentioned 13 ephydrid species as new for Finland without further details. This paper presents detailed records for those species and a few other species of interest. Four species are recorded for the first time from Russia. Trimerina indistincta Krivosheina, 2004 is herein considered as a new junior synonym of Trimerina microchaeta Hendel, 1932, syn. nov.

The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) contributes to nature conservation by regulating international trade in listed species by means of a permit system. Through this control system all parties assist in maintaining the listed rare and threatened species in the wild. CITES allows trade in wild specimens up to a level that is not detrimental for the survival of the species in the wild, that is, a use of nature commonly referred to as sustainable use.
