Low-pressure-MOCVD LaMnO3±δ very thin films on YSZ (100) optimized for studies of the triple phase boundary

Abstract This paper deals with the preparation of LaMnO 3± δ (LM) layers by low pressure-metal organic chemical vapor deposition (LP-MOCVD) using La(tmhd) 3 and Mn(acac) 3 as organometallic precursors. By thermogravimetric analysis, these precursors were found to be suitable for LP-MOCVD in a well-defined range of total pressure and temperature of sublimation. The activation energies of the sublimation process were found to be independent of the pressure within the appropriate range (0.06–3 kPa) and their values were 177 and 100.5 kJ mol −1 for La(tmhd) 3 and Mn(acac) 3 , respectively. A study of electron transfer in Ru(dcbpy)2(NCS)2 sensitized nanocrystalline TiO2 and SnO2 films induced by red-wing excitation.

Excited state dynamics and electron transfer from the Ru(dcbpy)2(NCS)2 (RuN3) sensitizer to semiconductor nanoparticles were studied using time-resolved femtosecond absorption spectroscopy. We found that excitation of the red wing of the absorption spectrum of the sensitizer populates the (3)MLCT state directly, both in solution and attached on semiconductor nanoparticle films. Electron injection is slowed down and becomes gradually less efficient as excitation moves towards red from the absorption maximum at 535 nm. In this chapter, Sustainable Manufacturing as MCB, Halvor Holtskog, Richard Ennals, and Hans Chr Garmann Johnsen argue how sustainable manufacturing can be seen as combining the traditional manufacturing management perspective with organisational development and participatory perspectives. The definition of Sustainable Business Systems is different from other uses of sustainability. The chapter tries to link arguments for business and for education. Arguably Working Life Research has an integrative role. One might ask: how can universities be seen as sustainable work systems, and how can they develop an account of empowerment?

Balancing Organisational Design Principles: A Pragmatic Scandinavian Approach to CSR

One can argue that Scandinavian countries have much of the essence of CSR incorporated in their culture and society. We use Norway as an example for this argument, by looking at the development of work-life since the 50s. Further, we use one highly industrialised area, Raufoss, as further proof of our claim of the lack of separate popularity of CSR, as it is already covered in the context of society. However, this is not the same as saying that there are no challenges to this model. One of the most challenging topics is innovation: this should be socially responsible innovation. The Norwegian, social model can seem to promote stability, so that people and companies become risk averse.

Raffinose family oligosaccharides are non-digestible compounds considered as dietary prebiotics with health-related properties. Hence, it is important to develop highly specific methods for their determination. An analytical method is developed in this study for oligosaccharide identification and quantification using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry equipped with a triple quadrupole analyser operating in Multiple Reaction Monitoring mode. Fasting renders immunotherapy effective against low-immunogenic breast cancer while reducing side effects

Immunotherapy is improving the prognosis and survival of cancer patients, but despite encouraging out-comes in different cancers, the majority of tumors are resistant to it, and the immunotherapy combinations are often accompanied by severe side effects.
