The efforts of managers in the workplace to minimize the health risks and economic damage, however, can provide the employees with a greater sense of security. In this article we will begin by giving a general overview of diagnosis in Corpus Hippocraticum, by analyzing its epistemological structure. We will then focus on the following three strictly connected questions: - What is the role of the narrative dimension, and in particular the relationship between semeia and logoi, in diagnostic process? - What role does trust (pistis) play - in different ways - in the diagnostic process in the triadic relation of doctor-patient-disease? - Is there a relationship between the role of trust and the epistemological status of medical diagnosis?

Do microfinance rating assessments make sense? An analysis of the drivers of the MFI ratings

Rating assessments of microfinance institutions are claimed to measure a combination of creditworthiness, trustworthiness and excellence in microfinance. Using a global dataset covering reports from 324 microfinance institutions, this study suggests that these ratings are mainly driven by size, profitability, and risk. The ratings do not seem to capture the double bottom-line objective of microfinance institutions, as our analyses are unable to prove any statistical relationship between microfinance ratings and the social objectives of these institutions. Citrus fruits are a good source of carotenoids for the human diet; however, comparative studies of carotenoids in different citrus food matrices are scarce. In this work the concentration and bioaccessibility of carotenoids in sweet oranges and mandarins with marked differences in carotenoid composition were evaluated in pulp and compared to those in fresh juice. Zygotic and nucellar embryo survival following dehydration and cryopreservation of citrus intact seeds.

A cryopreservation procedure by dehydration and direct immersion in liquid nitrogen was developed for seeds of four polyembryonic Citrus species, and the sexual or nucellar origin of the recovered seedlings was investigated. Seeds of three species could be desiccated in a sterile air flow to 16 percent (C. sinensis) or 10 percent (C. aurantium and C. limon) moisture content with a negligible reduction in germination levels. Differently, the germinability of C. deliciosa seeds dropped to 50 percent after drying to 15 percent moisture content.
