Datu vizualizācija lielo datu analītikā

2021

Muutoksen mahdollisuus : sosiaalinen media kielenopetuksen osana

2014

This article examines L2 learners’ multimodal literacy practices during two university-level Finnish as a second language courses. My focus is on the students’ use of microblogs as a learning tool. I + rst explore what new practices have emerged from the introduction of the microblogging service Twitter. Second, the focus shifts to the students’ opinions about using microblogs in language learning and I ask what potential the use of social media has for language learning and teaching. The data consist of about 900 tweets (microblog posts including links to online articles, video recordings and photos) posted by the students during two 12-week text comprehension courses as well as of video-r…

To better understand the online interaction, use is made of issue arena theory and insights on CSR crises. The focus is on capturing the issue as it evolved over time, the actors and sentiments expressed, and the responses of the organization. The findings show that after the case became public, the emissions issue received massive attention in Twitte…

Female unemployment in an emerging economy : A study of online social support as a coping strategy

2021

The increased use of social media has resulted in active participation of women on social media platforms, specifically Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. However, very little research has been carried out, specifically, on how women cope with the challenges of unemployment using social media networks. Thus, many women resort to different means as a coping strategy during their unemployment. In the face of rapid diffusion of social platforms, it is unclear how women personality traits influence their use of the social media. Similarly, it is also unclear how women’s experiences with these social networks, as a medium of online social support, serve as a coping strategy in the period of unemp…

Towards a typology of negative engagement behavior in social media

2022

Extant literature on consumer engagement has focused on positive manifestations of the construct, rather than on its negative dimension. Yet, many brand interactions are negative in nature. The purpose of this conceptual study is to develop a typology of negative engagement behavior in social media by using the multi-grounded theory (MGT) approach on a sample of 12,429 tweets extracted from Twitter. The analysis shows that negative engagement behavior with a brand or service provider as the object focus or target can be categorized according to (a) the manifestation of the negative engagement and (b) the emotional intensity of the negative engagement. Four categories of negative engagement …

Neironu tīklu metodes kriptovalūtu vērtību prognozēšanai

2018
