Abstract PLA/PCL co-mingled nanofibrous mats were prepared via multi-jet electrospinning. The concentration of PLA and PCL in the co-mingled mats were controlled by changing the flow rate of the two polymer solutions. The amount of PLA and PCL in the co-mingled nanofibrous mats was monitored by UV–Vis measurements through a colored dye added to PLA and by FTIR-ATR analysis. Abstract The aim of the current study was to investigate the shot performance of elite female water polo players according to their match outcome during three international tournaments, the 2012 Olympic Games, 2013 and 2014 FINA World Leagues. Twenty-four official matches footage [2012 Summer Olympic Games, n=8; 2013 FINA World League, n=8 and 2014 FINA World League, n=8] were obtained and analysed. Gaze direction is an important cue that regulates social interactions. Although humans are very accurate in determining gaze directions in general, they have a surprisingly liberal criterion for the presence of mutual gaze. We first established a psychophysical task to measure the cone of gaze, which required observers to adjust the eyes of a virtual head to the margins of the area of mutual gaze. Then we examined differences between 2D, 3D, and genuine real life gaze. Sub-symbolic Encoding of Words

A new methodology for sub-symbolic semantic encoding of words is presented. The methodology uses the WordNet lexical database and an ad hoc modified Sammon algorithm to associate a vector to each word in a semantic n-space. All words have been grouped according to the WordNet lexicographers’ files classification criteria: these groups have been called lexical sets.
