Sobre el Logos de Lísias al Fedre
2012
Lysias¿ speech in Plato¿s Phaedrus constitutes a key text in the demonstration of how the contextualization of the speech in its communicative intention is key for the comprehension of its function. In this function the speech is rendered clear without the need of a deeper meaning. Another issue is the role of the speech when located in a different communicative context and with a different intention. Making this distinction is a useful and necessary exercise. The various levels of construction of the platonic text provide a clarification in this regard.
Context social i acadèmic de la lògica en el segle XX als Països Catalans
2008
This article studies the reception of the modern logic in the Catalonian cultural area taking into account, essentially, the academic and extra-academic social, cultural and political factors which have conditioned this reception. It contains the detailed exposition of a change in the paradigm of logic in a specific cultural European area (Catalonia). This work can also contribute to clear up what the social academic conditions have been and what historical circumstances have determined the difficult development of the Catalan philosophy in the 20th century.
Identidad, diferencia y alteridad en la reflexión ética contemporánea
2011
Investigating the paths of ethics 'ethics of politics, ethics of philosophy', contemporary thought has been inquiring for a long into several tasks and aims, concerning the same practice of philosophy. Very lucidly, Emmanuel Levinas started from the criticism on philosophy as power ideology. In the background of the being qua totality, a plurality of existents competes among themselves to impose one's right to be. Philosophy is the awareness of the fact that the unwinding of being is determined by conflict, which is its impulse. Nevertheless, as a critical practice, philosophy consists in the capacity for unmasking the terrible evidence of the all-determining conflict. Philosophy is the def…
La pau mundial en el pensament de Kant
2005
Few people have left such an important and impressive mark on the development of Western thought as the philosopher Immanuel Kant, the bicentennial of whose death has been just celebrated. Through his writings and reflections, the Königsberg professor established the ethical and political foundations of a society which, moving away from any kind of despotic absolutism, needed to find a rational explanation for the contemporary world. His writings on the reflection and construction of peace brilliantly expounded his teachings on the pacific coexistence both between peoples and free States.

La hermenéutica materialista
2014
2006
This paper starts from the philosophical contradiction that we can call 'apory of logical fundament'. Logic appears, on the one side, as having the metaphysical pretensions of universality and wholeness and, on the other side, as having local efficiency in computers' concrete world. Several alternatives have tried to go over this apory, from alogical philosophies to logic amplifying attempts. René Thom's ontology changes the terms of the question and, instead of looking for the fundament in logic, he does so in topology. His slogan is: 'We have to found, not geometry in logic, but logic in geometry'. The fundamental ontological implication of this morphologic change is to find the sense con…
