We report the genome sequence of Planobispora rosea ATCC 53733, a mycelium-forming soil-dweller belonging to one of the lesser studied genera of Actinobacteria and producing the thiopeptide GE2270. The P. rosea genome presents considerable convergence in gene organization and function with other members in the family Streptosporangiaceae, with a significant number (44%) of shared orthologs. Abstract Background Proteomics was recently used to reveal enzymes whose expression is associated with the production of the glycopeptide antibiotic balhimycin in Amycolatopsis balhimycina batch cultivations. Abstract Background The endemic seagrass Posidonia oceanica (L.) Delile colonizes soft bottoms producing highly productive meadows that play a crucial role in coastal ecosystems dynamics. A differential proteomic analysis, based on 2-DE and MS procedures, was performed on Amycolatopsis balhimycina DSM5908, the actinomycete producing the vancomycin-like antibiotic balhimycin. A comparison of proteomic profiles before and during balhimycin production characterized differentially and constitutively expressed protein isoforms, which were associated to 203 ORFs in the A. balhimycina genome. El patrimonio artístico valenciano ha venido sufriendo en las dos últimas centurias (siglos XIX y XX) una considerable pérdida, debido a desamortizaciones, guerras, derribos incontrolados, ventas fraudulentas y expolios. Es la arquitectura monumental la mayormente afectada por esta lacra; así como la desaparición en Valencia de palacios nobles y casas solariegas derribadas, en muchas ocasiones por una equivocada expansión urbanística y la especulación del suelo. Las páginas precedentes son ejemplo de esa desidia y abandono, muchas veces permisivos, y buena muestra de lo que nunca debió ocurrir en tierras valencianas.

RESUMEN: Formular preguntas es una de las acciones asociadas con procesos metacognitivos de regulación durante tareas de comprensión: los sujetos pueden generar preguntas destinadas a obtener información para salvar obstáculos de comprensión. Se realizaron dos experimentos para estimular, clasificar y analizar las preguntas de los estudiantes en tres condiciones diferentes: leer sobre el funcionamiento de dispositivos científicos experimentales, observarlos en un DVD o manipularlos en el Laboratorio.
