Tämän proseminaari-työn tarkoitus oli tutkia, miten suuri vaikutus englanninopettajalla on oppilaidensa opiskelumotivaatioon sekä selvittää, mitkä motivointitekniikat oppilaat kokevat tehokkaimmiksi tavoiksi nostaa omaa opiskelumotivaatiotaan. Suomalaisen koulujärjestelmän uudistuksia ohjaamaan astuivat elokuussa 2016 voimaan uudet valtakunnallisen perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelmien perusteet, jotka korostavat konstruktivistista oppimiskäsitystä ja tulevaisuuden osaamiseen valmentavia tietoja ja taitoja. The inspiration in improvisation : identifying and classifying the approaches to emotion-based musical improvisation

The purpose of this study was to identify the naturally occurring approaches that musicians use to improvise and to analyse the relationships between the approach used, the improviser’s musical experience, and the quality of the resulting improvisation. 16 participants took part in three group improvisation and discussion sessions, and the improvisations of the final session (80 in total) were recorded and rated by experts on emotions- and quality-related aspects. Kieliopilla on keskeinen asema englantia vieraana kielenä opiskeltaessa ja rakenteiden tuntemus on osa vieraiden kielten opetussuunnitelmaa. Menetelmät, joilla kielioppia opetetaan, ovat laajalti opettajien itse päätettävissä ja opetusmenetelmien kirjo on valtava. Opetus voi olla hyvinkin opettajakeskeistä ja tyyliltään luennoivaa tai puolestaan hyvin toiminnallista ja oppilaslähtöistä sekä kaikkea tältä väliltä. A phenomenological view of pictures in teaching and a novel method for analysing them

In this paper a novel method for analysing the content and teaching potential of pictures is presented. It is the four-field method, which is based on phenomenological thoughts about human experience, which combines factual knowledge with emotions and personal and social meanings.  A biological example is given. Around this idea a course unit for using pictures in science teaching was organized. It was used in the training of both primary and secondary level teachers. From picture analysis the course unit proceeds to planning the use of pictures in teaching. A classification of the teaching functions of pictures is presented.

This paper describes the combination of a wiki and screen capture videos as a complementary addition to conventional lectures in an information management and information systems development course. Our basis was collaborative problem-based learning with the problems defined by students. The idea was that students were expected to find concepts or issues from four lecture themes which are not well-defined or clarified for them.
