Rakstā tiek analizēta piemiņas plāksnes memoriālā nozīme kopīgajā Polijas un Latvijas valstu vēsturē, uzsverot poļu studentu korporāciju aizsākumus Baltijā. Uzmanības centrā ir Welecja korporants Ignācijas Moscickis, kurš studējis ir Rīgas Politehnikumā/Rīgas Politehniskajā institūtā, kā arī sniedzis ieguldījumu demokrātijas saglabāšanas mēģinājumā Polijas valstī.
Connections Between Topology and Macroscopic Mechanical Properties of Three-Dimensional Open-Pore Materials

This work addresses a number of fundamental questions regarding the topological description of materials characterized by a highly porous three-dimensional structure with bending as the major deformation mechanism. Highly efficient finite-element beam models were used for generating data on the mechanical behavior of structures with different topologies, ranging from highly coordinated bcc to Gibson–Ashby structures. Users register daily allergy symptoms and their impact on activities using visual analog scales (VASs). We aimed to assess the concurrent validity, reliability, and responsiveness of these daily VASs. Methods: Daily monitoring VAS data were assessed in MASK-air® users with allergic rhinitis. Exhaled breath analysis for early disease detection may provide a convenient method for painless and non-invasive diagnosis. In this work, a novel, compact and easy-to-use breath analyzer platform with a modular sensing chamber and direct breath sampling unit is presented. The developed analyzer system comprises a compact, low volume, temperature-controlled sensing chamber in three modules that can host any type of resistive gas sensor arrays. The self-assembly and interfacial jamming of spherical Janus nanoparticles (JNPs) at the water/oil interface were investigated. Polymeric JNPs, made by cross-linking polystyrene-block-polybutadiene-block-poly(methyl methacrylate) (PS-PB-PMMA), with a high interfacial activity assemble at the water/oil interface. During the self-assembly at the interface, the interfacial energy was reduced and a dynamic interlayer was observed that is responsive to the pH of the aqueous phase. Scheren werden häufig als multifunktionale Geräte aufgefasst, deren genauere Bestimmung schwer einzugrenzen ist. Jedoch geben deren Form und technische Eigenschaften über die vorgesehene Verwendung Aufschluss. Es ist also möglich, eine neue Gliederung dieser Objekte vorzunehmen, und zwar anhand der Funktion, die sie am besten zu erfüllen scheinen. Diese Einteilung der Scheren aus den Nekropolen der Treverer wird durch die jeweils begleitenden anderen Grabbeigaben verifiziert. Das Beispiel der Scheren aus den Gräbern der Treverer macht es zudem möglich, diese Stücke anhand der sonstigen Beigaben einerseits in die Technikgeschichte und andererseits in die Sozialgeschichte einzuordnen.
