A task scheduling algorithm for HPC applications using colored stochastic Petri Net models

The increase in demand for High Performance Computing (HPC) scientific applications motivates the efforts to reduce costs of running these applications. The problem to solve is that of dynamical multi-criterial optimal scheduling of an application on a HPC platform with a high number of heterogeneous nodes. The solution proposed by the authors is a HPC hardware-software architecture that includes the infrastructure for two level (node and inter-node level) adaptive load balancing. Human capital evaluation in knowledge-based organizations based on big data analytics

Agility and system documentation in large-scale enterprise system projects: a knowledge management perspective

Abstract The growth of the agile approach usage comes with a deemphasis on formal documentation (explicit knowledge) and an increased reliance on personal interactions (tacit knowledge) for knowledge transfer. Abstract In social image retrieval, the main goal is to offer a relevant but also diverse result set of images to the user. To address relevance and diversity at the same time, we propose a multi-modal procedure. This approach deals with the diversification problem using a two-step procedure based on the application of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) to organize the text content of the images, followed by a Hierarchical Agglomerative Clustering (HAC) step to find the topics addressed by the images.
