Live birth after embryo transfer in an unresponsive thin endometrium.

2014

A healthy term livebirth in a 35-year-old woman with ovarian failure, hypoplastic uterus and atrophic endometrium after cancer treatment with chemotherapy and radiotherapy was achieved by ovum donation. The detection of a receptive endometrium using a new diagnostic tool of endometrial receptivity encouraged the medical team to carry on with this poor prognosis case. To the best of our knowledge, here we report the thinnest endometrium to date in which a healthy, full term live birth has been described in assisted conception.

Axial Length and Anterior Segment Alterations in Former Preterm Infants and Full-Term Neonates Analyzed With Scheimpflug Imaging.

Purpose To compare the axial length and anterior segment alterations in preterm infants with and without retinopathy of prematurity with those of full-term infants. Methods The Wiesbaden Prematurity Study investigated 503 participants of former gestational age ≤32 weeks and gestational age ≥37 weeks now being aged 4 to 10 years. Very preterm birth: who has access to antenatal corticosteroid therapy?

International audience; We describe the administration of antenatal corticosteroid therapy (ACT) for liveborn very preterm neonates in a population-based study. A total of 790 very preterm neonates (between 24 and 31 full weeks of gestation) were included in this regionally defined population of very preterm neonates in France. The main outcome measure was non-access to ACT. Emotional expressiveness of 5–6 month-old infants born very premature versus full-term at initial exposure to weaning foods

International audience; Facial expressions of 5-6 month-old infants born preterm and at term were compared while tasting for the first time solid foods (two fruit and two vegetable purees) given by the mother. Videotapes of facial reactions to these foods were objectively coded during the first six successive spoons of each test food using Baby FACS and subjectively rated by naive judges. Infant temperament was also assessed by the parents using the Infant Behaviour Questionnaire.
