PRIMO experiment: study-action on the dynamics of the creation of new enterprises and jobs in the Social and Solidarity Economy

2016

A research-action was carried out in 2015 and 2016 by the Regional Chamber of the Social and Solidarity Economy (CRESS) of Franche-Comté, accompanied by public partners, scientific and from the field of support, with the aim of better understand the dynamics of the creation of SSE enterprises in the regions, identified by the criterion of employment. The results of the survey component, obtained through the Catalyse® method (see http://www.acokima.org), make it possible to establish a typology of primary-employer structures. In particular, they show that the ability of a territory to "generate" new employers in the ESS is primarily linked to the existing voluntary sector and to the possibil…

Posizionamenti transfemministi. Saperi situati e pratiche spaziali nel movimento Non Una di Meno

2021

The aim of this paper is to analyse, through the toolbox of gender geography, the methodology of positionality and situated knowledge. The article examines some spatial practices of the transfeminist movement Non Una di Meno that involve us both as researchers and activists. The different forms of territorialisation and ways of “doing with” the space of the movement, are here presented through the specific cases of the demonstrations organised during the Covid-19 pandemic on the 25th of November 2020 and 8th March 2021. This enables us to present the methodology of positionality, and to analyse how feminist spatial practices can be the object of research and vice versa.

Territories, observation and governance. Tools, methods and realities

2011

The thesis is presented in three parts which include the three key words of the title and put intoperspective the function of territorial observation, with an approach to complexity mostly empiricaland constantly referring to systemics. The first part focuses on the polysemic notion of territory. Modeling the process of territorializationallows us to bypass the semantic difficulty that arises from multiple uses of the term in the literatureand in interviews conducted with experts. The territory is then revealed in different forms ofcombinations of tangible and intangible dimensions, and individual or collective representations. The second part is based on concrete achievements of observatorie…

Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari’s Concepts of Deterritorialisation and Reterritorialisation as Globalisation of Culture

2016

In a rapidly changing world, the World Wide Web, transcontinental flights, a plethora of telecommunication and spy satellites, constantly and incessantly encircling our planet, delivering pictures from and to every spot on earth, powerful agencies monitoring every movement of any individual they wish to monitor, eavesdropping on every word and sound emitted anywhere, there are no real borders, either in the physical or the metaphorical sense. That we have been living in a global village seems evident since at least the times of Marshall McLuhan (1962) but today globalization is undoubtedly a vital part of everybody’s culture everywhere in the world. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to ex…

2008

We propose a conceptual and graphical model of the territory built from an empirical intuitive and deductive approach of systemic paradigm of territorialization. This model is based on an individualized approach before being extended to the collective level. It is first seen in the context of the evolution of the concept in scientific thinking. Then, we introduce it in understanding the dynamics of the territory, under the paradigm of territorial intelligence, through observation and observatories that we adapt to the context of governance systems at different scales.
