Els casos clínics constitueixen un gènere propi dels professionals sanitaris, que els redacten i publiquen amb propòsits didàctics i de recerca. A diferència d’altres textos científics, es basen en l’experiència clínica d’un o pocs pacients, per la qual cosa adopten un caràcter narratiu i una sèrie de característiques que ens condueixen a considerar-los com a relats acadèmics. En aquest article mirem d’esbrinar si aquesta consideració és apropiada. Revisem la teoria de la narració per identificar l’element clau que defineix el relat respecte d’altres textos narratius: la trama o intriga. The “genetic erosion” of the soil ecosystem

Abstract This paper takes into consideration the influence of human activities on the loss of pedodiversity in a Mediterranean area due to large scale farming. In particular it examines the quantitative and qualitative soil changes in a period of 53 years (from 1955 to 2008) evaluating the loss of soil diversity at soil subgroups level of the USDA Soil Taxonomy system. The following indices were used: richness; Shannon’s diversity index; Simpson diversity index; Shannon’s evenness index; Simpson’s evenness index. Three three-letter words in three recent novels in three different languages: God, sex and joy

In this article, the authors propose to analyse the ways in which religion and sexuality are related to one another in three recent novels: (1) Fransi Phillips�s Die donker god (2007), (2) Inga �olude�s Santa Biblia (2013) and (3) Michel Houellebecq�s Soumission [English translation: Submission] (2015). In each case, the novels are briefly placed within their respective literary cultures (Afrikaans, Latvian and French) in order to offer a contextually sensitive analysis.
