A posteriori error estimates for variational problems in the theory of viscous fluids

The papers included in the thesis are focused on functional type a posteriori error estimates for the Stokes problem, the Stokes problem with friction type boundary conditions, the Oseen problem, and the anti-plane Bingham problem. In the summary of the thesis we consider only the Oseen problem. The papers present and justify special forms of these estimates which are suitable for the approximations generated by the Uzawa algorithm. The estimates are of two main types. Estimates of the first type use exact solutions obtained on the steps of the Uzawa algorithm. They show how errors encompassed in Uzawa approximations behave and have mainly theoretical meaning. Environment and Climate in Sicily over the last 20, 000 years. (IT ISSN 0394-3356, 2010). A series of recent studies shed light on the central Mediterranean, and Sicily, climate and environment, starting from the last glacial maximum (about 20 ka cal BP). In the present paper, we examine most of these works, in order to unravel environmental changes of the past, mainly in terms of temperature, atmospheric pattern, precipitation, vegetation and faunal associations. The climate of the last glacial maximum was characterised by very low temperature and by repeated northerlies penetration, even during summer. El objetivo principal la presente tesis doctoral es analizar las estrategias de subsistencia de los cazadores-recolectores que habitaron la región central del Mediterráneo ibérico en el Solutrense. Un periodo cultural de gran relevancia dentro del Paleolítico superior de la península Ibérica, puesto que coincidió con la crisis climática del Último Máximo Glacial. The review starts with a chronology of the development, explores different approaches to the research and offers a sample of key studies in the field. The main focus in these key studies is on interaction, expertise and pedagogical design in multimodal environments. Erilaisia tiedon esitystapoja oppitunneilla eli ns. multimodaalisuutta on tutkittu runsaasti 2000-luvun vaihteesta alkaen. Tähän mennessä pystytään osoittamaan, ettei oppituntien pintarakenteiden eroavaisuuksilla voida selittää opiskelijoiden erilaisia oppimistuloksia, joten on tarve kehittää menetelmiä, joilla oppituntien syvärakennetta voidaan tutkia. Johdatus peliteoriaan : kahden pelaajan nollasummapelien ratkaiseminen ja Nashin tasapainojen olemassaolo usean pelaajan yleisessä summapelissä

Tämän tutkielman tarkoituksena on osoittaa, että jokaisella usean pelaajan yleisellä summapelillä on olemassa vähintään yksi Nashin tasapaino. Lisäksi osoitetaan, että kahden pelaajan nollasummapeleissä Nashin tasapainojen mukaiset pelaajien voittojen odotusarvojen suuruudet ovat yksikäsitteiset, ja näytetään kuinka kyseiset odotusarvot voidaan ratkaista lineaarisen optimoinnin avulla. Tutkielmassa määritellään yleiset summapelit kolmikkoina, jotka muodostuvat äärellisestä määrästä pelaajia, joista jokaiseen on liitetty äärellinen joukko.
