Tässä työssä tutkitaan substituutiojouston estimointia. Substituutiojousto on tunnuslu-ku, joka kuvaa tuotantopanoksen korvaamisen helppoutta jollakin toisella tuotanto-panoksella. Substituutiojousto voidaan estimoida jonkin tuotantofunktion parametrien avulla. Tässä työssä tarkastellaan lähemmin CES- ja Translog-tuotantofunktioita. Substituutiojousto on määritelty alun perin kahden tuotantopanoksen tuotantofunk-tioille. Määritelmä voidaan kuitenkin yleistää usean tuotantopanoksen tuotantofunkti-oille. Aerobic training is included to cardiac rehabilitation programs together with resistance training. The effects of combined aerobic and resistance training performed in a same session with different protocols on peak aerobic capacity (VO2peak) and maximal dynamic strength (1RM: one repetition maximum) are not well known. We compared the effectiveness of two different combined aerobic and resistance training programs for 12 weeks performed three times in a week in stable Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) patients (n=30) who had previously performed aerobic training only. A typical scenario when solving industrial single or multiobjective optimization problems is that no explicit formulation of the problem is available. Instead, a dataset containing vectors of decision variables together with their objective function value(s) is given and a surrogate model (or metamodel) is build from the data and used for optimization and decision-making. We investigated the longitudinal associations of blood pressure, cardiorespiratory fitness, and arterial stiffness among children. Arterial stiffening has been repeatedly shown to be a cardiovascular mortality predictor and can be observed early in childhood. As such, it is crucial to understand whether a child’s blood pressure, fitness level, and body composition can predict early signs of atherosclerosis and arterial stiffening.
