Novel papain-family cathepsin L-like cysteine protease inhibitors endowed with antitrypanosomal and antimalarial activity were developed, through an optimization study of previously developed inhibitors. In the present work, we studied the structure-activity relationships of these derivatives, with the aim to develop new analogues with a simplified and more synthetically accessible structure and with improved antiparasitic activity. The GAPS experiment is foreseen to carry out a dark matter search using a novel detection approach to detect low-energy cosmic-ray antideuterons. The theoretically predicted antideuteron flux resulting from secondary interactions of primary cosmic rays with the interstellar medium is very low. So far not a single cosmic antideuteron has been detected by any experiment, but well-motivated theories beyond the standard model of particle physics, e.g., supersymmetry or universal extra dimensions, contain viable dark matter candidates, which could led to a significant enhancement of the antideuteron flux due to self-annihilation of the dark matter particles. The aim: To present the assumptions and to show the usefulness of Vesical Imaging-Reporting and Data System (VI-RADS) based on multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) in the diagnostic pathway management of patients with a bladder cancer. Materials and methods: The review is based on available literature from last 10 years from PubMed database and the Przegląd Urologiczny journal focusing on articles on VI-RADS. Automatic ranging and self-positioning is a very desirable property in wireless acoustic sensor networks, where nodes have at least one microphone and one loudspeaker. However, due to environmental noise, interference, and multipath effects, audio-based ranging is a challenging task. This paper presents a fast ranging and positioning strategy that makes use of the correlation properties of pseudonoise sequences for estimating simultaneously relative time-of-arrivals from multiple acoustic nodes.
