This data was collected during an short-term incubation experiment in March 2017 that investigated the response of a surface plankton community to upwelling. This experiment was carried in the framework of the SFB754-funded KOSMOS mesocosm study that took place in La Punta, Callao, Peru between February-April 2017. A total of six different treatments were used to disentangle chemical and biological characteristics of deep water that influence surface plankton blooms: 2 different deep water sources with different nutrient concentrations; 3 treatments to distinguish the effects of inorganic nutrients, organic nutrients and deep water microbial populations. Topological canal foliations

Regular canal surfaces of $\mathbb{R}^3$ or $\mathbb{S}^3$ admit foliations by circles: the characteristic circles of the envelope. In order to build a foliation of $\mathbb{S}^3$ with leaves being canal surfaces, one has to relax the condition “canal” a little (“weak canal condition”) in order to accept isolated umbilics. Here, we define a topological condition which generalizes this “weak canal” condition imposed on leaves, and classify the foliations of compact orientable 3-manifolds we can obtain this way.

Lake Valkea-Kotinen is a long-term ecological monitoring site in the Evo region of southern Finland .The aim of this study was to investigate the growth and population structure of perch (Perca fluviatilis L.) in relation to diet in Valkea-Kotinen in order to provide reference data for a study investigating effects of increased loading of dissolved organic matter to nearby Lake Alinen Mustajärvi. Valkea-Kotinen was predominantly inhabited by small benthivorous perch. The growth relationship between opercular bone and total length of perch in the lake is similar to those earlier analysed for nearby lakes. Probabilistic topic models, such as LDA, are standard text analysis algorithms that provide predictive and latent topic representation for a corpus. However, due to the unsupervised training process, it is difficult to verify the assumption that the latent space discovered by these models is generally meaningful and valuable. This paper introduces a two-stage LDA algorithm to estimate latent topics in text documents and use readability scores to link the identified topics to a linguistically motivated latent structure. The SO2F2 quasi-spherical top: Correspondence between tensorial and Watson's formalisms

Abstract The SO2F2 quasi-spherical top molecule with C2v symmetry is considered as a distorted spherical top deriving from the SO 4 2 − tetrahedral ion. We present here a detailed correspondence between the tensorial formalism using the Td⊃C2v reorientation and the usual Hamiltonian of Watson. We have also performed ab initio calculations in order to determine the centrifugal distorsion constants in the vibrational ground state.
