Technical secondary education in Togo and Cameroon : Research Note

International audience; This paper presents an evaluation of technical secondary education in Togo and Cameroon from the labor market perspective using tracer study data. Individuals face great difficulties in finding a job following training and the most common strategy used to avoid unemployment is to secure work in the informal sector. However, informal sector jobs provide low earnings and there appears to be a large discrepancy between an individual's expected earnings and actual earnings. One solution is to stimulate, and to enhance the role of, informal training through apprentice training centers.

This thesis aims to highlight the relationship between climate and water balance process on the basin of the complex river-lagoon Mono-Aheme-Couffo. A better analysis rain/flow is made using rainfall spatialization from interpolation, taking into account altitude and geographical coordinates of hydrometeorological stations. Also, pluvio-hydrological variability and surface states dynamics impacts on sedimentation are examined. Rhamphicarpa fistulosa (Hochst.) Benth. is an annual facultative root-parasitic weed found in lowlands and floodplains in tropical Africa. It has been reported as the major constraint to rice cultivation in the savannah region of Togo. A survey was conducted in 2012 to access its distribution and to collect information on farmers' knowledge of its control. Rhamphicarpa fistulosa was found in 80% of the 33 visited lowlands. The period of abundance is in August-September when the highest infection (90%) was found on sandy and clay soils. When the parasite was present, 94 other weeds belonging to 24 botanical families were recorded. As management method, farmers use weeding and chemical fertil…
