The archaeological research in the southeastern area of the Early Christian catacombs of Villagrazia di Carini has been ongoing since 2000 to the present, but in 2014 the structural problems occurred during the excavation of the cubicles X13 and X15 have showed that this sector of the cemetery was cut into a tuff stone bench less compact and durable than the rest of the catacomb. Italian Abstract: Nella chiesa annessa al complesso monastico basiliano, sito nel quartiere Immacolata di Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (Messina), e custodita una lapide sepolcrale raffigurante un uomo adulto scolpito a bassorilievo, con una lunga spada posta davanti al corpo e un cane con la testa mozzata ai piedi. Fonti settecentesche tramandano che la lapide era un tempo collocata nella chiesa di Santa Maria di Gala e riportano, seguendo la tradizione locale, che essa raffigurava Simone il Normanno, figlio di Adelasia e Ruggero I, sepolto a Gala. La chapelle Notre-Dame du Chemin est un site emblématique de la côte viticole, à environ 5 km au NE de Beaune, sur le territoire de la commune de Ladoix-Serrigny en Côte-d’Or. Le diagnostic archéologique réalisé au pied de l’actuel édifice s’est déroulé du 5 au 9 mars 2018. En dépit d’une emprise limitée au fuseau d’un futur réseau de drainage, l’opération a permis de documenter l’évolution de l’environnement de la chapelle depuis la fin du premier Moyen Âge jusqu’à nos jours. La sépulture d’un individu adulte, aménagée de dalles de calcaire, datée par radiocarbone des XIe-XIIe s., constitue le témoignage le plus ancien de l’occupation humaine du site [...]

The article deals with the first burial in the tomb crypt built under the altar of the natio polona in the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua. Stanisław Miński, a Polish state dignitary and diplomat who was passing through Padua on his way from Naples, was the one buried here. The tombstone, removed only in the first half of the 20th century, contained information about the laying of Miński’s body to rest in the place where church services associated with Poland and Poles were performed.
