Tematiche e suggestioni catulliane in «Carmina Burana» 119 e 120

Carmina Burana (CB) 119 (Dulce solum natalis patrie) and 120 (Rumor letalis) are two medieval latin love poems of XIIth-XIIIth century which both show Catullan flavour, themes and suggestions. In this paper, after a short introduction about the very exiguous knowledge of Catull’s poems between VIth and XIIIth century, I try to give a strict analysis of CB 119 and 120, at the light of Catullan themes and suggestions which occur in these poems.

We argue that transnational criminal law has enacted a global rule by law enforcement agencies, at odds with the rule of law. Mutual legal assistance agreements (MLAA) allow exporting law enforcement practices without proper judicial oversight. Consequently defendants required in extradition are exposed to abuses, as illustrated here with extradition cases from Colombia to the United States of America (USA) in the past decades. Introduction: Post-apartheid South Africa remains highly stratified on variable grounds including race. The 8.9 percent (whites) of the total population has an average income per capita that is five times higher than that of 79.2 percent (blacks). Driven by various motives, Latvian emigrants and exiles have been voluntarily or involuntarily choosing various regions of the world as their new home. Siberia is one such region – the first Latvian exiles were deported to this remote Russian territory already in the 18th century and a new wave of settlers moved there on their own accord in search of a better life in the early 19th century. Some of the Latvian villages have survived in Russia to this day. Augšbebri (Bobrovka) village in the Tara district, Omsk region, is one of them.
