The inherent structural instability: concentration-dependent transformation of pyrogallarene to pyrogallarene lactones.
2011
Pyrogallarene shows concentration-dependent instability in dilute solutions resulting in elimination of two ketene molecules and formation of pyrogallarene lactones. This unexpected phenomenon, which is not observed with resorcinarenes, highlights the significance of the four hydroxyl groups at 2-position for the molecular characteristics of pyrogallarenes.
Excitation and detection geometries for Fourier-transform mass spectometry
1994
A short overview of current excitation and detection techniques for Fourier-transform mass spectrometry and related ion cyclotron resonance experiments is given, and some ideas are discussed which may lead to new developments.
First Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance signals of very highly charged atomic ions
1994
We report on the first application of Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry to the very highly charged ions produced in the high-energy electron beam ion trap (SuperEBIT) at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Initial results are described, and spectra are presented from ions as highly charged as Cs53+.

Quantification of growth factors by using a new system for obtaining platelet-rich plasma
2010
Objective: To verify the performance of a new method for obtaining platelet-rich plasma, while avoiding contami- nation of the sample during its processing. Study Design: Twenty healthy patients were selected, from whom 21 ml of blood was etracted. e then pro- Design: Twenty healthy patients were selected, from whom 21 ml of blood was etracted. e then pro- esign: Twenty healthy patients were selected, from whom 21 ml of blood was etracted. e then pro- ceeded to study the platelets and growth factors in basal blood after centrifuging the sample by using a new closed system for obtaining platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Results: After centrifuging the blood sample, double the amount of platelet…
Preparation and characterization of organofunctionalized bentonite clay bearing aminophosphonic groups in heavy metal uptake
2019
Abstract Bentonite (Bnt) with covalently immobilized N-propylaminodi(methylenephosphonic) groups (Bnt-ADPA) was obtained through a two-step synthesis including aminosilanization and phosphorylation of resulting aminobentonite through Moedritzer-Irani reaction. The grafting of an aminosilane layer in the interplanar space of the bentonite was investigated by XRD, and the presence of N and P-containing groups was confirmed by FTIR, 31P and 29Si MAS NMR. The immobilization of the organic functional groups increased the interplanar distance in bentonite matrix at 52% that essentially improved filtration properties compared to raw bentonite. The number of surface acid groups was evaluated to 0.8…
Analysis of Active-Site Distribution in ZSM-5 Crystals by Infrared Microscopy
1993
Abstract The acid Site distribution over large ZSM-5 crystals was analyzed using FTIR microscopy. Results of the analysis of the OH-stretching vibrations and of vibrations of pyridine adsorbed on Bronsted and Lewis acid sites were found to be in good agreement. The resolution which can be obtained using this novel technique is about 10-20 μm. This limits the application to large crystals as analyzed in this study. Comparison of the results of IR microscopy with aluminum distributions obtained by electron microprobe analysis revealed that IR microscopy cannot resolve inhomogeneities on a scale smaller than the above-stated limits. The results of both methods on a larger scale, however. are i…
On the phase dependence of the interconversion of the motional modes in a Penning trap by quadrupolar excitation
2012
Abstract The interconversion of the radial motional modes in a Penning trap (magnetron and cyclotron modes) by an external quadrupolar rf-field with a frequency near the true cyclotron frequency ω c plays an important role in the measurement cycle of Penning trap mass spectrometry. Ions to be measured are prepared in a state of magnetron motion which is then resonantly converted into cyclotron motion. The data analysis is usually carried out under the assumption that the initial motional state of the ions has been a pure magnetron state. In reality, however, a small component of cyclotron motion is always present in the ion's initial motional state. This component introduces a dependence on…
ChemInform Abstract: 1,6-π-Electrocyclization of 3-Vinyl-Functionalized N,N′-Dimethyl-2,2′-bisindolyl: Some Analysis of the Educt Transformation Proc…
2010
The thermally and photochemically induced 1,6-π-electrocyclization reaction of 3-vinyl-functionalized N, N'-dimethyl-2,2′-bisindolyls 4 has been analysed and some reactivity aspects are presented. On the basis of time dependent 1H nmr and uv spectroscopic measurements the educt transformations can be observed in detail. Some results of the isomerization process of the educts are also given.
