Se describe una experiencia de transferencia de conocimiento entre investigadores del proyecto ITSAL (Inmigración, Trabajo y SALud) y representantes de asociaciones que trabajan con población inmigrante para discutir los resultados obtenidos en esta investigación y las líneas de futuro. Para ello se llevó a cabo una reunión en la que participaron tres investigadoras y 18 representantes de 11 instituciones. Tras una exposición de la metodología y los resultados del proyecto ITSAL, todos los asistentes comentaron los resultados presentados y líneas de investigación de interés. We have voluntarily surrendered our private data to BigData companies like Google and FaceBook in hope that our data there will be safe and will be used only for ethical machine learning purposes to further advance artificial intelligence capabilities we already use daily: smart search, machine translation, speech recognition, guessing our interests etc. But alongside these positive BigData uses, unexpectedly the world was recently astounded by the success of the DataScience killer-application: microtargeting, discussed in this presentation.

The objective of this study is that one, starting from the initial considerations, to give back to the history of architecture, through drawing as a critical means of inquiry, the thought and work of some women-architect who, between 1926 and 1962, have designed and/or built buildings of fine architectural quality. Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje rozważania wstępne autorki związane z planowaną rozprawą habilitacyjną, której celem jest zrekonstruowanie historii polskiego przekładu powieści Der Zauberberg (Czarodziejska góra) Thomasa Manna oraz zanalizowanie jego oddziaływania na polską recepcję utworu. Ze względu na fakt, że obie części powieści zostały przełożone przez różnych tłumaczy, a tom drugi doczekał się dwóch wersji przekładu (z roku 1930 oraz z 1953), powstaje przy tym fundamentalne pytanie o spójność wyłaniającego się z przekładu światopoglądu dzieła. Translating culture: Charles Mungoshi's Waiting for the Rain

In Waiting for the Rain Charles Mungoshi chose a western form, the novel, and a western language, English, to try and convey the deep changes at work in Zimbabwean society at the time. This paper focuses on both aspects: first, the adaptation of the novelistic genre to Zimbabwean culture, and second, the defamiliarization of the English language, which is not Mungoshi's mother tongue.
