Tutkielman tavoite oli selvittää teknisen tekstin kääntämisessä esiintyviä käännösongelmia ja prosessin yleistä luonnetta. Aineistona käytettiin lehtitalojen käyttöön tarkoitetun jakeluohjelmiston suomenkielistä käyttöopasta, siitä itse tehtyjä käännöksiä englanniksi, sekä kääntämisen ohella kirjoitettua käännöspäiväkirjaa. Käännökset tehtiin osana kääntäjäharjoittelua ja ne tulivat kaupalliseen käyttöön. Exploring Skopos in the Dutch Dubbed Versions of the Songs of Disney's Frozen

An important part in dubbing an animated musical film – as in any translation – is setting a purpose (perhaps subconsciously) for that particular project and establishing a set of priorities to achieve that purpose. This article investigates the purpose, or skopos, of the dubbing process of the Dutch songs from the 2013 Disney film Frozen, and analyses the effect of those skopi on the songs. This analysis uses the triangle of aspects, a comprehensive model to compare a dubbed version of a song to the original on several important aspects, such as rhythm, lip synchrony, and sense. Tässä käännösteoreettisessa opinnäytetyössä tutkitaan rugbyn sääntöjen kääntämisessä ilmeneviä käännösongelmia sekä tapoja ratkaista niitä. Työ on kommentoitu käännös englanninkielisten rugbysääntöjen otteista, ja tutkimusaineistona on 9 englanninkielistä rugbysääntöä. Työssä analysoitiin ensin lähdetekstin urheilukieli, lakikieleen viittaavat ilmaukset sekä lähdetekstin tarkoitus eli skopos. Tämän jälkeen säännöt käännettiin suomeksi, ja kääntämisessä kohdatut käännösongelmat analysoitiin hyödyntämällä Katarina Reissin ja Hans Vermeerin skoposteoriaa sekä Christiane Nordin funktionaalista lähestymistapaa käännösongelmiin. Expectations are an inseparable part of interaction, whether in interpersonal, intragroup, or organization–stakeholder relations. As a concept, expectations appear frequently in the public relations literature, yet definitions are scarce or narrow. This thesis contributes to the conceptual and empirical understanding of expectations in the context of organization–stakeholder relations and, more specifically, studies how organizations translate their societal roles and how stakeholders form expectations of these roles.
