A doubly bridged isodicyclopentadienyl zirconium complex: bis{N-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)-N-[(η5-isodicyclopentadien-2-yl)dimethylsilyl]amido-κN}zirconium…
2002
Transmetallation of the dilithium salt of (3,5-dimethyphenylamino)(isodicyclopentadienyl)dimethylsilane by treatment with zirconium tetrachloride in a 2:1 ratio leads to the substitution of all four chloride ligands. With the applied stoichiometry, the title complex, [Zr(C(20)H(25)NSi)(2)].C(4)H(10)O, was obtained and crystallized from diethyl ether. X-ray diffraction characterization showed that both isodicyclopentadienyl ligands (alternatively called 4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-4,7-methano-1H-indene) are complexed to the metal on their exo face in a completely stereoselective manner and that they are eta(5)-bonded to the Zr atom.
Coordination versatility of pyridine-functionalized N-heterocyclic carbenes: a detailed study of the different activation procedures. Characterizatio…
2005
Three different reaction procedures for the coordination of N-n-butyl-N'-(2-pyridylmethyl)imidazolium salt have produced new N-heterocyclic complexes of Rh and Ir. The direct reaction of the imidazolium salt with [IrCl(cod)](2) provides a NHC-Ir(III)-H complex, while transmetalation from a silver-NHC complex and deprotonation with NEt(3) give new NHC complexes of M(I) and M(III) when reacting with [MCl(cod)](2) or [MCl(coe)(2)](2) (M = Rh, Ir). The crystal structures of the biscarbene Rh(III) and Ir(III) complexes are described. The catalytic properties of the compounds obtained have been tested in the hydrosilylation of acetylenes, the cyclization of acetylenic carboxylic acids, and hydrog…
Equilibrium, Kinetic and Structural Properties of Gallium(III) and Some Divalent Metal Complexes Formed with the New DATAm and DATA5m Ligands
2017
The development of 68Ge/68Ga generators has made the positron-emitting 68Ga isotope widely accessible and raised interest in new chelate complexes of Ga3+. The hexadentate 1,4-di(acetate)-6-methyl[amino(methyl)acetate]perhydro-1,4-diazepane (DATAm) ligand and its bifunctional analogue, 1,4-di(acetate)-6-pentanoic acid[amino(methyl)acetate]perhydro-1,4-diazepane (DATA5m), rapidly form complexes with 68Ga in high radiochemical yield. The stability constants of DATAm and DATA5m complexes formed with Ga3+, Zn2+, Cu2+, Mn2+ and Ca2+ have been determined by using pH potentiometry, spectrophotometry (Cu2+) and 1H and 71Ga NMR spectroscopy (Ga3+). The stability constants of Ga(DATAm) and Ga(DATA5m)…
Investigation of the aqueous transmetalation of π-allylpalladium with indium salt: the use of the Pd(OAc)2–TPPTS catalyst
2005
pi-Allylpalladium complexes could be generated in water by the palladium(0) water soluble catalyst prepared in situ from palladium acetate and TPPTS. These complexes were transmetalated with indium to react with benzaldehyde. The aqueous solution of Pd(0)(TPPTS)(n) could be reused without deterioration of the catalyst in the first and second recycling. The system proved to be efficient with primary and secondary allylic substrates. The stereochemical outcome of the allylation through umpolung of allylpalladium, was also studied using models with a restraint conformation.
Desferrioxamine as an appropriate chelator for 90Nb: Comparison of its complexation properties for M-Df-Octreotide (M=Nb, Fe, Ga, Zr)
2014
The niobium-90 radioisotope ((90)Nb) holds considerable promise for use in immuno-PET, due to its decay parameters (t½ = 14.6h, positron yield=53%, Eß(+)(mean) = 0.35 MeV and Eß(+)(max) = 1.5 MeV). In particular, (90)Nb appears well suited to detect in vivo the pharmacokinetics of large targeting vectors (50-150 kDa). In order to be useful for immuno-PET chelators are required to both stabilize the radionuclide in terms of coordination chemistry and to facilitate the covalent attachment to the targeting vector. Different chelators were evaluated for this purpose in terms of radiolabelling efficiency and stability of the radiolabelled Nb(V) complex and in order to determine the most suitable…
Aminobis(phenolate)s of imidomolybdenum(VI) and -tungsten(VI)
2009
Abstract The reactions of trans-[MoO(ONOMe)Cl2] 1 (ONOMe = methylamino-N,N-bis(2-methylene-4,6-dimethylphenolate) dianion) and trans-[MoO(ONOtBu)Cl2] 2 (ONOtBu = methylamino-N,N-bis(2-methylene-4-methyl-6-tert-butylphenolate) dianion) with PhNCO afforded new imido molybdenum complexes trans-[Mo(NPh)(ONOMe)Cl2] 3 and trans-[Mo(NPh)(ONOtBu)Cl2] 4, respectively. As analogous oxotungsten starting materials did not show similar reactivity, corresponding imido tungsten complexes were prepared by the reaction between [W(NPh)Cl4] with aminobis(phenol)s. These reactions yielded cis- and trans-isomers of dichloro complexes [W(NPh)(ONOMe)Cl2] 5 and [W(NPh)(ONOtBu)Cl2] 6, respectively. The molecular st…
C,N-chelated dicyclopentadienylzirconium complexes and their possible use as hydrogenation catalysts
2010
Abstract In situ generated Cp2Zr(n-Bu)Cl (6) reacts with {2-[(CH3)2NCH2]C6H4}2Pb to form exclusively {2-[(CH3)2NCH2]C6H4}Cp2ZrCl (7), [(CH3)2NCH2]C6H5, butene and elemental lead. The further derivatization of chloride (7) to fluoride (8), hydride (9), methyl derivative (10), and a reduction of 7 are also described. The crystal structures of 7–10 were determined. The catalytic activity of 9 and 10 in hydrogenation of styrene was also preliminarily tested.

Solvent induced single-crystal to single-crystal structural transformation and concomitant transmetalation in a 3D cationic Zn(II)-framework.
2015
A 3D cationic Zn(II) framework, based on Zn2(CO2)4 paddle-wheel secondary building units (SBUs) and Zn16(CO2)32 polyhedral supramolecular building blocks (SBBs), has been synthesized. At room temperature, the framework undergoes guest solvent triggered reversible structural transformation and concomitant Zn(II) to Cu(II) transmetalation in a single-crystal to single-crystal fashion.
An easy route to 1-germaindenes via a transmetallation zirconiumgermanium reaction
1993
Abstract Several 1-zirconaindenes ( 4 ) have been obtained easily by heating phenylmethylzirconocene with various symmetrical (R R′ CH 3 , C 2 H 5 , n-C 3 H 7 , Si(CH 3 ) 3 and unsymmetrical (R CH 3 , R′ Si(CH 3 ) 3 ) alkynes (RCCR′). Under similar experimental conditions, the ynamine, diethylaminotrimethylsilylethyne, led to a regioselective reaction. From the X-ray structure of the zirconaindene product, the trimethylsilyl group was found close to the zirconium atom. Compounds 4 with germanium tetrachloride afford new 1-germaindenes ( 7 ) characterized by 1 H and 13 C NMR and mass spectrometry, in good yield.
