As for previous years, the IADF TC organized a data fusion contest aiming at fostering new ideas and solutions for multisource studies. Utility of Hovmöller diagrams to diagnose Rossby wave trains

The study investigates and compares various methods that aim to diagnose Rossby wave trains with the help of Hovm¨ oller diagrams. Three groups of methods are distinguished: The first group contains trough-and-ridge Hovm¨ oller diagrams of the meridional wind; they provide full phase information, but differ in the method for latitudinal averaging or weighting. The second group aims to identify Rossby wave trains as a whole, discounting individual troughs and ridges. Monitoring of land surface phenological changes play a key role in understanding feedback of ecosystem dynamics. This study focuses on the analysis of trends in land surface phenology derived parameters using normalized difference vegetation index time series based on Global Inventory Monitoring and Mapping Studies data in the Hyrcanian forests of Iran covering the period 1981–2012. In this paper the design, realization and testing of a photovoltaic charging system suitable for the management of an electrically power assisted tricycle are described. This vehicle uses a photovoltaic module as a source of electric energy for the battery recharging. In this work, an overview on the needs of sustainable mobility and on the commercial electrically power assisted velocipedes is presented. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the potential impact of in-sewer processes (COD components transformation and hydrogen sulphide production) on the design of sewer systems. The tool used for such analysis is a mathematical model derived from the WATS model (Wastewater Aerobic/anaerobic Transformation in Sewers) able to describe the processes occurring in the sewer system both under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Urinary tract schistosomiasis is a parasitic disease caused by S. haematobium with a wide range of clinical manifestations related to the mucosal and submucosal granulomatous lesions of the bladder. It affects about 80 million people in Africa, Middle-East and India, while in Italy it is rarely seen among immigrants from endemic areas and returning travellers. The authors describe a case occurred in a 26 year old man, recently emigrated from a rural area of Ghana. He had the symptoms of a haemorrhagic cystitis.
