International audience; Auch nach dem Waffenstillstand wird der Erste Weltkrieg in der Berliner Illustrirten Zeitung (BIZ)-einem der ersten illustrierten Massenblätter-weiter thematisiert. Bei der Untersuchung dieses mediatisierten Krieges wird der Frage nachgegangen, was diese Bilderwelt über die fortschrittlichen Erwartungen, Ängste und Hoffnungen in der Weimarer Republik aussagt. Dabei geht hervor, dass die BIZ nach der anfänglichen Bekundung eines gewissen Wohlwollens gegenüber den ehemaligen Feinden zu Beginn des Jahres 1919 bald in einen bitteren Ton umschlägt, als die Friedensbedingungen bekannt gegeben werden. For eutrophic lakes, achieving good water quality usually requires a reduction in external loading. The Lake Load Response (LLR) tool, based on the LakeState (LS) model, can be used to predict the necessary loading reduction, which can be utilized when making decisions on the management of the lake. The best predictions are made when the input values of the incoming loading, water outflow and in-lake total phosphorus, total nitrogen and chlorophyll a concentrations are as accurate as possible. Accurate loading data is often hard to collect because of the lack of resources for observations. Group emotional dynamics are a central concern in the study of human interaction and communication. To study group emotions, the social context of a musical event in ecological conditions may overcome several limits of laboratory experiments and could provide a suitable ecological framework. This study aimed to evaluate if cultural events such as a conductor competition could welcome scientific research for the study of group emotional sharing. The Response of European Energy Prices to ECB Monetary Policy

To our knowledge, this paper is the first to discuss the response of European energy commodity prices to unexpected monetary policy surprises from the European Central Bank (ECB). Using the Rigobon (2003) identification through heteroscedasticity method, we find a significant and positive response during the crisis period for Brent and coal. Similar results are obtained by other authors for European financial assets in this period. This result reinforces the idea that during this period, financial assets and some commodities positively responded to conventional and unconventional expansionary monetary policy measures, increasing confidence about the survival of the European monetary union. …
