La destrucció del patrimoni artístic i la seua reconstrucció. Un exercici de microhistòria: el cas de Llíria i la Confraria de la Sang (1936-1949)
2020
The problem of artistic destruction and its reconstruction has been little studied. Using a microhistorical analysis method, we study the town of Lliria (Valencia) and its brotherhood of ?La Sang de Jesucrist? (had a great heritage from the 16th to the 19th centuries), and we also analyze how and why this destruction and reconstruction was generated during the context of the civil war. We use and combine different sources (public of the ?Causa General? and private of the ?Minute Books?) for this research, with the intention of specifying the analysis of this complex process. We also explain social and artistic relationships of these two processes, that help us study the workshops of the mos…
Interactive Tools for the Preservation, Dissemination and Study of Silk Heritage—An Introduction to the SILKNOW Project
2018
Silk was a major factor for progress in Europe, mostly along the Western Silk Road’s network of production and market centers. The silk trade also allowed for the exchange of ideas and innovations, having impacts at economic, technical, functional, cultural and symbolic levels. However, silk has today become a seriously endangered heritage. Although many European specialized museums are devoted to its preservation, they usually lack the size and resources to take advantage of state-of-the-art digital technologies. The aim of this paper is twofold; firstly, we introduce SILKNOW, an interdisciplinary project that has been recently funded by the H2020 Programme of the European Union in order t…
Techonological tools for the conservation of silk Heritage: Improving the conservation of European religious textile cultural Heritage
2019
This paper presents the interdisciplinary H2020 SILKNOW project coordinated by the Universitat de València with researchers from the ICT and SSH fields. SILKNOW is a three-year project funded by the EU's Horizon 2020 Programme under the two-stage call SC6-CULT-COOP-09 'European cultural heritage, access and analysis for a richer interpretation of the past'. The consortium has a total of nine partners from six different European countries (Spain, France, Germany, Slovenia, Poland and Italy). There are a total of three universities, two SMEs, one international institution, and three research institutes. In this paper, we introduce SILKNOW which has as a goal to promote, conserve and dissemina…
Genèse et mémoires des randonnées littéraires
2018

Computational prediction of the Helitron-N2 (HeN2) transposable element in the strim1 locus of the Paracentrotus lividus genome
2011
Transposons constitute a significant component of the eukaryotic genome. Among others, Helitrons represent a novel major class of eukaryotic transposons, and are fundamentally different from classical ones in terms of their structure and mechanism of transposition [1]. In particular, Helitrons constitute ~1% of the sea urchin genome [2]. By a in silico approach focused on the genome of the Mediterranean sea urchin Paracentrotus lividus, we have predicted regions of high sequence identity to a Helitron-N2 (HeN2) element in the strim1 locus. Of interest, HeN2 sequences lies within the 5’ non coding region of the strim1a and strim1b genes, spanning from -105 to -2255 (the start codon ATG of st…
Double copies of blaKPC-3::Tn4401a on an IncX3 plasmid in Klebsiella pneumoniae successful clone ST512 from Italy
2015
ABSTRACT A carbapenem-resistant sequence type 512 (ST512) Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase 3 (KPC-3)-producing K. pneumoniae strain showing a novel variant plasmid content was isolated in Palermo, Italy, in 2014. ST512 is a worldwide successful clone associated with the spread of bla KPC genes located on the IncFIIk pKpQIL plasmid. In our ST512 strain, the bla KPC-3 gene was unusually located on an IncX3 plasmid, whose complete sequence was determined. Two copies of bla KPC-3 ::Tn 4401a caused by intramolecular transposition events were detected in the plasmid.
Elles ķēķa dzejas iepazīšanas iespējas 12. klasē
2021
Atomic layer deposition of localised boron- and hydrogen-doped aluminium oxide using trimethyl borate as a dopant precursor
2020
Atomic layer deposition (ALD) of boron-containing films has been mainly studied for use in 2D materials and for B-doping of Si. Furthermore, lithium-containing borates show great promise as solid electrolyte coatings for enhanced energy storage. In this work, we examine trimethyl borate (TMB) and triethyl borate (TEB) in combination with O2 plasma as precursors for ALD of B-containing films, targeting the growth of B2O3. It is found that films grown from TEB contain no boron. Further work with TMB as a boron-containing precursor showed promising initial growth on a SiO2 or Al2O3 surface, but a rapid decrease of the growth rate during subsequent ALD cycles indicating surface inhibition durin…
