The study of reaction times and their underlying cognitive processes is an important field in Psychology. Reaction times are usually modeled through the ex-Gaussian distribution, because it provides a good fit to multiple empirical data. The complexity of this distribution makes the use of computational tools an essential element in the field. Therefore, there is a strong need for efficient and versatile computational tools for the research in this area. Chalcogenide thin films for direct resistors fabrication and trimming

Abstract The fabrication of thin film resistors based on Ge–Sb–Te chalcogenide alloys is proposed. By exploiting the phase change properties of the deposited film, a laser beam is used for inducing a transition from high to low resistivity along selected paths. Conductivity changes as high as four orders of magnitude can be routinely achieved. This candidates the technique for maskless fabrication of compact precision resistors for a variety of applications.

Ultrasonic mensuration of fetal limb bones in the second and third trimesters

Growth of fetal limb bones has been examined in a prospective cross-sectional study in 530 patients between 13 and 42 weeks of gestation by ultrasound. The length of the femur, tibia, humerus, and radius were measured in all cases, and fibula and ulna in 393 cases. For each week of gestation mean lengths (+/- 2 standard deviations) were calculated. All limb bones showed linear growth from 13 weeks to 25 weeks of gestation, after which the growth curve appeared nonlinear. A strong linear relationship (r greater than 0.98) between the BPD and bone length was found for each bone. Abstract Beyond the financial performance assessed on the basis of profit and loss account, evaluating a company is made from the perspective of its ability to cope with due debts. A situation that was often encountered by companies listed on the BSE was insolvency, currently affecting six companies, while other have emerged from this process, being traded since November 2013. Considering the companies listed on BSE among the best performing, in this paper, which is part of a larger study, has been analyzed the ability of companies to meet medium and long term maturities, particularly from their own resources, and the way the financial crisis affected it.
Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy after ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome with wild-type ABCB4 gene: a peculiar case and literature review

Background: Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) in the first trimester occurring after ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a rare condition and few cases are reported in the literature. Hyperestrogenism may explain this problem in genetically predisposed women. The objective of this article is to report one of these rare cases and offer an overview of the other published cases. Case presentation: We report a case of severe OHSS followed by ICP in the first trimester. The patient was admitted to the intensive care unit and was treated according to the guidelines for the management of OHSS.
