Būvmateriālu rūpniecības attīstība Latvijā: Bolderājas silikātķieģeļu rūpnīcas piemērs (1952-1959)

Darbā tika pētīta Latvijas PSR būvmateriālu rūpniecības attīstība uz lielākā Latvijas būvmateriālu uzņēmuma – Bolderājas silikātķieģeļu rūpnīcas – piemēra, laika posmā no 1952. līdz 1959. gadam. Pētījuma mērķis bija, analizējot arhīva un citus pieejamus avotus, konstatēt šīs tautsaimniecības sfēras un konkrētā uzņēmuma darbības attīstības galvenās tendences dotajā laika posmā. Pētījuma gaitā tika izpētīta Latvijas PSR būvmateriālu rūpniecības attīstība, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot izvēlētai rūpnīcai: izpētot tās struktūru, ražošanas procesu un produkciju, tās finansiālus radītājus, kā arī šīs rūpnīcas ražošanas procesā iesaistītā darbaspēka faktoru – tā darba un dzīves apstākļus. A global Canopy Water Content product from AVHRR/Metop

Abstract Spatially and temporally explicit canopy water content (CWC) data are important for monitoring vegetation status, and constitute essential information for studying ecosystem-climate interactions. Despite many efforts there is currently no operational CWC product available to users. In the context of the Satellite Application Facility for Land Surface Analysis (LSA-SAF), we have developed an algorithm to produce a global dataset of CWC based on data from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) sensor on board Meteorological–Operational (MetOp) satellites forming the EUMETSAT Polar System (EPS). Whether physical activity is associated with the future risk of atrial fibrillation (AF) remains a controversy. Using a systematic review and meta-analysis of published observational cohort studies in general populations with at least one-year of follow-up, we aimed to evaluate the association between regular physical activity and the risk of AF. Optical properties of Ge-oxygen defect center embedded in silica films

The photo-luminescence features of Ge-oxygen defect centers in a 100nm thick Ge-doped silica film on a pure silica substrate were investigated by looking at the emission spectra and time decay detected under synchrotron radiation excitation in the 10-300 K temperature range. This center exhibits two luminescence bands centered at 4.3eV and 3.2eV associated with its de-excitation from singlet (S1) and triplet (T1) states, respectively, that are linked by an intersystem crossing process. The article presents a study of five Polish multicultural and multilingual families in Finland, and their engagement in digitally mediated family communication. «Widrige Winde»: Der Abbruch der schonischen Expedition aus der Sicht des preußischen Gesandten, des Freiherrn Friedrich Ernst von Cnyphausen

There are two interpretations of Peter the Great’s motives for refusing to land on the Swedish island of Schonen in historiography: that the tsar feared unforeseen military risks and that he did not trust his allies, Denmark and Great Britain. In this article, the author attempts to analyse in a more detailed way the reasons and consequences for the mistrust in the Northern Alliance by looking at communications by Baron Friedrich Ernst von Cnyphausen, the Prussian ambassador in Copenhagen. It is shown that the Russophobic hysteria which grasped the Danish royal court in September 1716 looks completely irrational when we consider parallel attitudes in the Prussian court.
