Publisher Summary This chapter discusses on certain metrizable locally convex spaces. The linear spaces used are defined over the field IK of real or complex numbers. The word "space" will mean "Hausdorff locally convex space". This chapter presents a proposition which states if U be a neighborhood of the origin in a space E. If A is a barrel in E which is not a neighborhood of the origin and F is a closed subspace of finite codimension in E’ [σ(E’,E)], then U° ∩ F does not contain A° ∩ F. Suppose that U° ∩ F contain A° ∩ F. Then A° ∩ F is equicontinuous hence W is also equicontinuous. Since W° is contained in A, it follows that A is a neighborhood of the origin, a contradiction.

Though many studies concern the agro-food sector in the EU and Italy, and its environmental impacts, literature is quite lacking in works regarding LCA application on citrus products. The objective of the present research was to investigate associations of dispositional and momentary self-control and the presence of other individuals consuming SSBs with the consumption frequency of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) in a multi-country pilot study. We conducted an Ambulatory Assessment in which 75 university students (52 females) from four study sites carried smartphones and received prompts six times a day in their everyday environments to capture information regarding momentary self-control and the presence of other individuals consuming SSBs. El presente artículo tiene por finalidad analizar la propagación de la nulidad por infracción del Derecho de la Competencia. Para ello, tras analizar el fundamento de la nulidad, el trabajo analiza cómo la propagación de la nulidad no es la solución correcta en todos los contratos conexos. En algunos supuestos la solución será la indemnización de daños y perjuicios por infracción del Derecho de la Competencia ejercitada por el perjudicado frente a la empresa infractora, aunque no tenga relación contractual directa con ella, pero no la nulidad.

Abstract The “model of coping modes” distinguishes four dispositionally determined patterns of behavior (coping modes) which become apparent in stressful situations: repression, sensitization, nondefensiveness, and high anxiety. Following from this model, the present study is aimed at assessing associations between coping modes and children's looking behavior towards their mothers in a moderately stress-inducing laboratory setting. Abstract This study examined dispositional and situative antecedents of vigilant and avoidant coping behavior. Seventy-two subjects were classified in coping style on the basis of their responses to the vigilance and cognitive avoidance scales of the Mainz Coping Inventory (MCI, Krohne, 1989), and alternatively, on their trait anxiety and defensiveness scores (cf. Identity distress, psychological symptoms, and adjustment to university (academic, social, and person-emotional) were examined among students in Spain (N = 241; Mage  = 19.0 (1.6), Md = 19; 84% female) and Canada (N = 531; Mage  = 19.8 (2.2), Md = 19; 82% female). The expected positive relationships were found between these variables. Similarly, increased identity distress of Spanish students and greater maladjustment at university for those in Canada were associated with contextual differences in the respective environments. Citrus fruits are a good source of carotenoids for the human diet; however, comparative studies of carotenoids in different citrus food matrices are scarce. In this work the concentration and bioaccessibility of carotenoids in sweet oranges and mandarins with marked differences in carotenoid composition were evaluated in pulp and compared to those in fresh juice. The pulp and juice of the red-fleshed Cara Cara sweet orange variety was highly rich in carotenes (mainly lycopene and phytoene) compared to standard Navel orange, while β-cryptoxanthin and phytoene predominated in mandarins.
