The recent launching in Italy of a number of large scale urban operations centered around High Speed Railway (HSR) stations has added a wealth of examples and themes to the overall European picture; these go to make up a global point of reference for other countries that are, in this period, undertaking the construction of their own HSR networks. Above and beyond the territorial questions often linked to the issue, further research investigating the architectural aspect of these operations would be highly relevant, but is rather lacking. Šajā lingvistiski salīdzinošā pētījumā tiek aplūkota tulkošanas vēsture. Kā izmeklēšanas temats ir izvēlēti Rīgas suverēno privilēģiju rokraksti, kuri ir sastādīti 16.-18. gadsimtā. Šie teksti tiek salīdzināti ar 18. gadsimtā sarakstītajiem krievu un vācu tulkojumiem. Visi izmantotie un transkribētie materiāli glabājas Latvijas Valsts vēstures arhīvā. Pētījumā daudzos piemēros tiek mēģināts parādīt tulkošanas nozīmīgumu un funkciju Krievijas Impērijā un Livonijā. Darba mērķis ir noteikt dominējošo tulkošanas metodi Rīgas vācu-krievu juridiskajos tekstos. Abstract A program for calculating abscissas and weights of Gaussian quadrature rules for arbitrary weight functions and intervals is reported. The program is written in Mathematica. The only requirement is that the moments of the weight function can be evaluated analytically in Mathematica. The result is a FORTRAN subroutine ready to be utilized for quadrature. Effects of Rosmarinus officinalis and Salvia officinalis essential oils on Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae)

Laboratory trials were carried out to characterize Rosmarinus officinal and Salvia officinalis essential oils and to evaluate their pesticidal activities against Tetranychus urticae. Slide-dip and leaf-disk bioassays were employed to study the mortality caused by these plant oils on two-spotted spiders. Different dilutions of both essential oils (0.10-0.25%, v/v) caused acute contact toxicity, although the sage extract showed greater acaricidal activity than rosemary oil. Mortality rates of 95-100% were observed at all the sage oil dosages and when rosemary emulsions contained at least 0.20% of essential oil.
