Tämä tutkimus käsittelee mikromaksuja esineiden internetin kontekstissa vertaisarvioidun tieteellisen aineiston, teknisten valkopapereiden sekä kirjallisuuden avulla. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan perinteisten mikromaksujen problematiikkaa ja tutkitaan mitä etuja hajautetut tilikirjatekniikat tuovat perinteisiin keskitettyihin mikromaksumenetelmiin verrattuna. Lopuksi tarkastellaan, minkälaisia käyttötapauksia mikromaksuille on esineiden internetissä sekä miten hajautetut maksuratkaisut voidaan sulauttaa osaksi esineiden internetin kokonaisarkkitehtuuria. The relationship between credit ratings and asset liquidity: Evidence from Western European banks

This study examines the role of asset liquidity in Western European banks’ credit rating downgrades and upgrades over the 2005–2017 period. The results suggest that changes in bank credit ratings have been more favorable for banks that have a liquid asset portfolio. Furthermore, asset liquidity has a stronger effect on the credit rating of banks that already have an illiquid asset portfolio. In contrast, the effect is significantly smaller or nonexistent for the most liquid banks. These results imply that the new liquidity regulation introduced by the Basel III requirements will improve the stability and hence decrease the fragility of the European banking sector. Parasites are ubiquitous, and the ability to defend against these is of paramount importance. One way to fight diseases is self-medication, which occurs when an organism consumes biologically active compounds to clear, inhibit or alleviate disease symptoms. Here, we show for the first time that ants selectively consume harmful substances (Reactive Oxygen Species, ROS) upon exposure to a fungal pathogen, yet avoid these in the absence of infection. This increased intake of ROS, while harmful to healthy ants, leads to higher survival of exposed ants. EAGESTAD DOCT INRA; Dans le modèle parcelle virtuelle de dynamique de la flore adventice, FLORSYS, 70% du temps de calcul est utilisé par le module 3D d’interception de la lumière dont dépend la compétition des cultures et des adventices pour la lumière et la croissance des plantes. Afin d’accélérer le calcul, nous avons utilisé une méthode pour méta-modéliser le module. Cette méthode permet aussi réaliser une analyse de sensibilité. La hauteur et la largeur des plantes ont été identifiées comme des variables primordiales pour prédire l’interception de la lumière par le couvert.
