Lack of reactivation of tuberculosis in patients with psoriasis treated with secukinumab in a real-world setting of latent tuberculosis infection

Background Some biologics for psoriasis, especially anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha therapies, may re-activate latent tuberculosis (TBC) infection with consequent morbidity and mortality. However, there is a low reported incidence of conversion to positive TBC status among patients with psoriasis treated with second-generation biologic therapies, particularly anti-interleukin (IL)-17 therapies such as secukinumab. Master grunnskolelærerutdanning for trinn 5-10, 5-årig masterprogram - Universitetet i Agder 2016 Denne studien har som hensikt å få en innsikt i hvordan gutter i ungdomsskolen opplever dusj- og garderobepraksis i skolen. Undersøkelser viser at i løpet av de siste ti årene har det blitt færre og færre elever som benytter fellesdusjen etter kroppsøvingstimene. Det nevnes at elever velger å avstå å dusje, eller de dusjer med klær på, evt. tar og vasker seg kjapt under armene og i fjeset i vasken. Undersøkelsen i denne masterstudien ønsker derfor å få en innsikt i elevenes opplevelser av garderoben. TALPID3/KIAA0586 Regulates Multiple Aspects of Neuromuscular Patterning During Gastrointestinal Development in Animal Models and Human

TALPID3/KIAA0586 is an evolutionary conserved protein, which plays an essential role in protein trafficking. Its role during gastrointestinal (GI) and enteric nervous system (ENS) development has not been studied previously. Here, we analyzed chicken, mouse and human embryonic GI tissues with TALPID3 mutations. The GI tract of TALPID3 chicken embryos was shortened and malformed. Histologically, the gut smooth muscle was mispatterned and enteric neural crest cells were scattered throughout the gut wall. Sex and sexual ornamentation associated with survival of the cyprinid fish, Rutilus rutilus, under disease stress

By conveying information of disease resistance, sexual signals may be used as cues for adaptive mate choice. Here we report observations on survival of laboratory-maintained, wild-collected, sexually mature, ready-to-spawn cyprinid fish, Rutilus rutilus (roach), under accidental epidemic attributed to Flavobacterium psychrophilum, diagnosed using species-specific PCR. The fish were maintained in a single tank. Tuberkuloze ir pasaulē izplatīta infekcijas slimība, kuras izraisītājas ir M. tuberculosis kompleksā ietilpstošās mikobaktērijas. Darbs tika veikts, lai noteiktu un raksturotu Latgales reģionā cirkulējošo M. tuberculosis genotipus. Darbā ir izmantotas molekulāras genotipēšanas metodes: starpfragmentu oligonukleotīdu genotipēšanas metode, kas ir balstīta uz polimerāzes ķēdes reakciju un tiešā atkārtojuma (DR) reģiona amplificēšanu; restrikcijas fragmentu garuma polimorfisma analīzes metode, kur M. tuberculosis genotips tiek noteikts pēc insercijas sekvenču IS6110 kopiju skaita un izvietojuma atšķirībām hromosomā.
