The report for 3 Baltic University Library Meeting (15-16 May, 2019) that was held at the University of Tartu Library. Report describes the experience of preparing exhibitions about Historical Collections of the Library of the University of Latvia. There are given two examples, that illustrates the challenges library have faced regarding the process of creating exhibitions.
The First Decades of Independence – White Finland

The Republic of Finland was established after a bloody civil war between the Reds and the Whites in 1918. This chapter analyses the emergence of Finnish independence and the role higher education played in the new republic in the 1920s and 1930s. During this period, the University of Helsinki was Finland’s dominant higher education institution, even though one public pedagogical college and seven private higher education institutions were also established: two universities (one Swedish-speaking and one Finnish-speaking), three business schools, a technical university, and a higher education institution of social sciences.

We report on extra-curricular activities with biology undergraduates focusing our attention on the selection of mathematical modelling tasks with different levels of cognitive demand and the level of teacher’s guidance during students’ collaborative work on the tasks.

The authors of the present article are investigating the influence of the data generation in the university courses of informatics and statistics (UCIS) on the acquisition of both the UCIS and other study courses in the health care specialities. First of all, the authors inquired students in order to find out their attitude to the UCIS. The inquiry results show evidence that an important role in the acquisition of UCIS has the work/study material – data. The UCIS work/study material can be associated with various branches, including health care. The data of the health care patients are of a special status. Istotnym elementem formacji chrześcijańskiej, obok działalności katechetycznej, są studia teologiczne, które służą pogłębieniu zrozumienia wiary Kościoła i bardziej skutecznego głoszenia orędzia chrześcijańskiego, odpowiadającego uwarunkowaniom społecznym i kulturowym konkretnych czasów. W diecezji opolskiej w ostatnim półwieczu zadanie to było realizowane przez trzy instytucje: Wyższe Międzydiecezjalne Seminarium Duchowne w Opolu, Instytut Teologiczno-Pastoralny, Filię KUL w Opolu, oraz Wydział Teologiczny Uniwersytetu Opolskiego.
