ERP Post-implementation Issues in Small-and- Medium-Sized Enterprises

This paper focuses on ERP post-implementation issues in Small-and-Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).We conducted a case study in a small Norwegian retail company. We studied the enterprise in the period after going live with their new ERP system. Certain challenges were observed such as security risks because of inaccurate configuration of the system, difficulties with operational issues such as sending invoices and getting sales reports, inaccurate inventory, insufficient training arrangement, workarounds, conflicting incentives among customer, reseller and consultant. One of the most challenging steps in learning algebra is the translation of word problems into symbolic notation. This paper describes an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) that focuses on this stage of the problem solving process. On the one hand, a domain specific inference engine and a knowledge representation mechanism are proposed. ExtMiner : Combining multiple ranking and clustering algorithms for structured document retrieval

This paper introduces ExtMiner, a platform and potential tool for information management in SMEs (small & medium-size enterprise), or for organizational workgroups. ExtMiner supports interactive and iterative clustering of documents. It provides users with a visual cluster and list views at the same time, supporting iterative search process. ExtMiner may also be applied as a platform for research on retrieval fusion, since it combines search, clustering and visualization algorithms. ExtMiner was evaluated with three document collections.
