In this prospective randomized study, we compared the outcomes of single-unit umbilical cord blood transplantation (UCBT) and unmanipulated haploidentical stem cell transplantation (haplo-SCT) with post-transplantation cyclophosphamide (PTCy) in adults with hematologic malignancies. All patients received a myeloablative conditioning (MAC) regimen consisting of thiotepa, busulfan, and fludarabine, with antithymocyte globulin (ATG) added for UCBT recipients. Nineteen patients were randomized to UCBT and the other 26 to haplo-HSCT. Four patients (15%) allocated to the haplo-HSCT arm lacked a suitable donor and were crossed over to the UCBT arm. Urban forests are regularly managed for human safety and aesthetic reasons, but they are crucial habitat for many species. Removals of undergrowth occur commonly in these forests, yet the ecological consequences of these operations are poorly understood. We sampled ground beetles (Coleoptera, Carabidae) and vascular plants along 20-m edge gradients in Finnish urban forests, in five stands treated 0.5−2.5 years earlier with undergrowth removal and in five untreated stands. Inuentiones and translationes of the relics are part of the hagiographic dossier of a saint and provide interesting information about his cult over the centuries. For S. Mercurius of Caesarea the original texts in Greek have been lost, but we have two collections miracles in Coptic that narrate the inuentio and translatio of his relics and there is also a medieval tradition about his translatio to Benevento (Italy). From all these texts is deduced a healing cult of S. Mercurius based on the usual topics.

Research on corporate decline and turnarounds as well as the strategic use of history have so far remained two separate research fields. We integrate these two fields with a thought experiment, proposing ways in which strategists can work with, and through time in managing and turning around declines. The grasslands characterized by the dominance of Brachypodium retusum occurring in Sardinia are examined. These communities, belonging to the Thero-Brachypodion ramosi alliance (Lygeo-Stipetea class), are quite widespread in the Island, where they usually grow on carbonate substrata from the sea level up to 1300 m of altitude. On the basis of several phytosociological relevés, it has been possible to recognize six associations well-differentiated from the floristic, ecological and syndynamic point of view.
