This paper proposes a study on the virtual reconstruction of temple B in Selinunte. It is the smallest of Selinunte’s temples yet, despite its size, it has been the subject of great interest and debate by scholars since its discovery in 1823. The studies carried out throughout the XIX century and the first half of the XX century provided different renderings, especially as to the organization of the elevation. The goal of this work is the virtual anastylosis of temple B, through the study of all available historical sources, the survey of fragments preserved today at the “A.Salinas” Regional Archaeology Museum in Palermo, and the survey of the finds at Selinunte’s site. Faith-based development of World Vision Tanzania

This article examines how faith is intertwined in conceptions of development in the work of World Vision Tanzania, a faith-based organisation focusing on child welfare. Issues that are explored include the question how an apparently common faith setting constitutes and provides a source of social meanings and values for the assessment of human development as well as secular development concepts such as human agency and empowerment. The analysis shows how World Vision staff assign different values to Christian and non-Christian development when assessing the potential and achievements of the beneficiaries in terms of secular concepts. The authorities have quickly developed a keen interest in television. The army, in particular, used it in order to build and promote its image in Spanish society. In spite of, the army doesn’t succeed to finish with its traditional isolation, neither to put to stop to its bad reputation. Indeed, the Spanish television emphasized the melodramatic dimension and the menacing presence of the army. The television shots of the attempted to coup d’état of February 23rd 1981 enabled that media to break with its propagandist function and to put a stop to the illusion according to which the past had been forgotten forever.

In the Swedish/Finnish/British/Norwegian television series Jordskott (2015–17) child victims’ mysterious disappearances signal that ‘something’s not right’ in Silverhöjd, a Swedish town. Three detectives uncover a conflict between the locals who depend on a local industry and preternatural human-like but non-human forest creatures familiar from Nordic tradition and fairylore. Both humans and semi/non-humans are ambivalent, but what sets the latter apart is their implication in caring for nature, protecting it, and punishing those who harm it.
