Augu audu kultūru izmantošana retās piekrastes sugas Eryngium maritimum bioloģijas pētījumos

Jūrmalas zilpodze (Eryngium maritimum L.) ir Latvijā reti sastopama un apdraudēta augu suga. Pēdējās desmitgadēs sugas izplatības areāla ziemeļaustrumu daļā zilpodzes indivīdu skaits un izplatība ir samazinājies. Par galveno iemeslu tam uzskata problēmas ar ģeneratīvo vairošanos. Ar anatomiskās izpētes palīdzību secināja, ka zilpodzes saknes satur veģetatīvās vairošanās struktūras. Audu kultūru eksperimentos noskaidroja, ka zilpodzes sakņu ievadīšanai piemērotākā apstrāde ir ar HgCl2, bet zilpodzes pavairošanai un apsakņošanai piemērotākā ir Murashige & Skoog barotnes modifikācija ar pievienotu 6-benzilaminopurīnu. Thymus capitatus is a compact woody shrub, endemic to the Mediterranean region, with attractive pink flowers. Although conventional vegetative propagation of T. capitatus is currently used, micropropagation could be effective for rapid mass propagation of selected clones and would preserve wild plants. Melleņu ģints ogu spiedpalieku ekstraktu ietekme uz dziļās glikēšanas gala produktu veidošanos un beta amiloīdproteīna agregāciju in vitro

Bakalaura darbā tika pētīta Vaccinium ģints piecu ogu izspaidu ekstraktu spēja inhibēt advancēto glikēšanas gala produktu (AGE) un Abeta proteīna 1-42 agregātu veidošanos in vitro. Ekstraktu efektus pētījām uz AGE veidošanos seruma albumīna un metilglioksāla reakcijā un uz Abeta 1-42 spontāno agregāciju paaugstinātā temperatūrā un reakcijā ar metilglioksālu. Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka pētītie ogu ekstrakti inhibē AGE un Abeta 1-42 agregātu veidošanos. Melleņu ekstrakts efektīvāk par citiem ekstraktiem inhibēja AGE veidošanos, salīdzinot ar kontroli, bet Abeta 1-42 agregāciju visefektīvāk inhibēja lielogu dzērveņu un purva dzērveņu ogu izspaidu ekstrakti.
