Szczególnym obszarem intensywnego wzrostu ilości informacji w formie elektronicznej stanowią zasoby bibliotek Uczelni Wyższych. Evaluating the impact of public subsidies on a firm's performance : a two-stage quasi-experimental approach

In this paper we evaluate the effectiveness of regional R&D public programs in Catalonia (Spain) with a two-stage procedure. Firstly, we compare the performance of publicly subsidised companies (treated) with that of similar, but unsubsidised companies (non-treated). We use the Propensity Score Matching (PSM) methodology to construct a control group which, with regard to its observable characteristics, is as similar as possible to the treated group, and that allows us to identify firms which maintain the same propensity to receive public subsidies. RESUMEN: En este artículo se presenta la evaluación eudaimonista como una articulación entre el agente y los objetos del mundo. Sostendremos que, gracias a esta noción, la teoría de las emociones de Nussbaum es adecuada para dar cuenta de la función adaptativa de las emociones, por lo que las teorías no cognitivas no resultarían superiores en este aspecto. Esta noción serviría, asimismo, para no dejar de lado los aspectos cognitivos de la emoción. En este artículo se evalúan y clasifican las revistas españolas de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte (CCAFD), atendiendo a su calidad global. Para ello se aplica un modelo de evaluación, validado con anterioridad, que combina 23 indicadores relativos a diferentes características de las revistas (formales, de contenido científico y difusión). De esta manera pueden clasificarse las publicaciones periódicas en cuatro categorías de calidad: ‘muy alta’, ‘alta’, ‘media’ y ‘baja’.
