The aim of this study is the analysis of structure and transfer mechanisms through chitosan based food packaging materials with incorporated carvacrol as a model of antimicrobial active substance. Integration of composition parameters, structure, processing and drying of chitosan systems is correlated to its physico chemical and functional properties. Immobilization of single-stranded DNA fragments to solid surfaces and their repeatable specific hybridization : covalent binding or adsorption ?

Abstract The different steps of the immobilization process of single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) on surfaces by means of chemical grafting have been investigated using systematic measurements of grafting and hybridization densities by means of radioactive labelling. The immobilization by chemical grafting to a dense monomolecular layer of N-hydroxysuccinimidyl ester reactive functions attached to silica plates was performed from a dilute solution of amino-terminated oligonucleotides (10 μmol/l). Bakalaura darba mērķis bija izpētīt akvaporīnu lomu raugu šūnās dehidratācijas un sekojošas rehidratācijas laikā. Lai sasniegtu šo mērķi izmantoja sekojošos rauga Saccharomyces cerevisiae celmus: ANT29 - izejas celmu ar AQY1 un AQY2 akvaporīnu gēniem, ANT27 - celms ar AQY1 gēna pārekspresiju, un YSH1172 - celms ar abu akvaporīnu gēnu delēciju, kurus sadarbības ietvaros piegādāja Lisabonas Universitāte. Dehidratācijas eksperimentiem izmantoja šūnas no stacionārās augšanas fāzes, kura iestājās 30. augšanas stundā visiem celmiem līdzīgi. One of the initial steps in the preprocessing of remote sensing data is the atmospheric correction of the at-sensor radiance images, i.e., radiances recorded at the sensor aperture. Apart from the accuracy in the estimation of the concentrations of the main atmospheric species, the retrieved surface reflectance is also influenced by the spectral calibration of the sensor, especially in those wavelengths mostly affected by gaseous absorptions.
