In this initiative the aim is to facilitate conversations about various life issues in mainstream classes in high school. An analysis of model predictive control with integral action applied to digital displacement cylinders

This article aims to analyze Model Predictive Control (MPC) for the control of multi-chamber cylinders. MPC with and without integral action has been introduced. Three different algorithms have been used to solve the optimization problem in the MPC. The different algorithms have been compared with an industrial solver. The influence of changing mass, choosing a different middle line pressure, system delays, signal noise, velocity estimation, and changing pressure levels has been investigated. Bakalaura darba ietvaros tika apgūti Ramana spektrometra darbības principi, kā arī tika apgūta prasme mērīt un apstrādāt ar Ramana spektrometru pētāma materiāla Ramana spektru, tādējādi analizējot attiecīgā materiāla īpašības un to iespējamu pielietojumu. CVD dimanta kristālu paraugiem, kas tika audzēti uz Si pamatnes disku virsmām, tika izmērīti un savstarpēji salīdzināti Ramana spektri gan paraugu virsmas mikroskopisko telpisko defektu tuvumā, gan attālumā no tiem. Pēc iegūto joslu novietojumiem Ramana spektros tika analizēta šo defektu izcelsme, kā arī ietekme uz parauga īpašībām. Human Activity Signatures Captured under Different Directions Using SISO and MIMO Radar Systems

In this paper, we highlight and resolve the shortcomings of single-input single-output (SISO) millimeter wave (mm-Wave) radar systems for human activity recognition (HAR). A 2×2 distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar framework is presented to capture human activity signatures under realistic conditions in indoor environments. We propose to distribute the two pairs of collocated transmitter–receiver antennas in order to illuminate the indoor environment from different perspectives. Adapting to a Global Health Challenge: Managing Antimicrobial Resistance in the Nordics

This article explores the adaptation of Norway and Sweden to one of the major challenges to global public health, antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Guided by assumptions derived from institutional theory, the article investigates whether, and, if so, how the AMR problem has affected the two Nordic countries’ administrative systems and frameworks for Nordic cooperation. The article builds on selected literature, expert interviews, and public documents. The findings suggest that the international impact on Norway and Sweden’s managerial adaptation to AMR is limited. Also available from the publisher at: http://www.idunn.no/ts/tt/2012/01/art06 The article consists of two parts: Part one seeks to demonstrate (contra Bauckham) that Jewish monotheism in the Second Temple period was of a flexible character. It argues that Jewish writers in this period could attribute «divine functions» to figures beside God, while still feeling committed to «one God». The Jewish monotheism of this period was therefore not constituted by functions or characteristics, but rather by the exclusive worship of the one God. Masteroppgave i idrettsvitenskap - Universitetet i Agder 2016 The aim of this study was to investigate body image and drive for thinness among adolescent boys, and to examine variations for these variables in age and level of physical activity. This cross-sectional study is part of “the Relevance of Physical Activity Contexts in Every-Day Life of Adolescents” (REPAC), which is a larger project. 1423 boys from secondary school (8th grade) and upper secondary school (11th grade) were included in this study, and these responded to a questionnaire that was developed to examine how different activity contexts affected adolescent boys everyday lives.
