In addition, the study wanted to investigate differences in grit based on school type (age) and gender. This longitudinal study is part of a larger project called "The Relevance of Physical Activity Contexts in the Daily Life of Adolescents" (REPAC). The study is based on data from two time points (2014 and 2016). Summary In June 2018, water chemistry, benthos and zooplankton were investigated in 7 small lakes/ ponds within the key area of the European pool frog Pelophylax lessonae (Camerano) in Norway. The geographic distribution of the Norwegian population is minor, limited to a very few small lakes in the county of Agder in southernmost Norway. Since the species is thermophilic, reproduction success only occurs in warm summers. Accordingly, the pool frog is one of the most rare vertebrates in Norwegian fauna, classified as critically endangered in the Norwegian red list. Kvalifikācijas darbs “Veselības un fiziskās aktivitātes sekmēšana brīvdabas nodarbībās pirmsskolā 2. izglītības posmā” izstrādāts ar mērķi teorētiski noskaidrot un empīriski pārbaudīt, kā āra nodarbībās sekmējama veselības un fiziskās aktivitātes jomas mācību satura apguve 2.izglītības posmā (4-5 gadus veciem bērniem). Pētījuma aktualitāte saistāma ar to, ka pēdējo divu gadu laikā epidemioloģiskās situācijas dēļ tika rekomendēts bērniem arvien vairāk nodarbību organizēt āra vidē, tomēr pieejamie materiāli brīvdabas pedagoģijā ir vairāk tendēti uz dabas izziņu. Search for the Decay of the Higgs Boson to Charm Quarks with the ATLAS Experiment

A direct search for the standard model Higgs boson decaying to a pair of charm quarks is presented. Associated production of the Higgs and Z bosons, in the decay mode ZH→ℓ+ℓ−c¯c is studied. A data set with an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb−1 of pp collisions at √s=13TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC is used. The H→c¯c signature is identified using charm-tagging algorithms. The observed (expected) upper limit on σ(pp→ZH)×B(H→c¯c) is 2.7 (3.9+2.1−1.1) pb at the 95% confidence level for a Higgs boson mass of 125 GeV, while the standard model value is 26 fb.
