OBJECTIVES: Choline is an essential nutrient critical for components of the cell membrane, such as choline-containing phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine and sphingomyelin), and in synthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Choline has been shown to exert neuroprotective effects, but the association between serum choline and cognitive performance has been scarcely investigated. Background Data from epidemiological studies investigating the prevalence and severity of malocclusions in children are of great relevance to public health programs aimed at orthodontic prevention. Previous epidemiological studies focused mainly on the adolescence age group and reported a prevalence of malocclusion with a high variability, going from 32% to 93%. In schizophrenia there are specific cognitive deficits including verbal memory deficits. The objective of this study was to examine short-term verbal memory differences between subjects with and without a dual diagnosis.A group of 80 patients with a diagnose of schizophrenia were examined. 40 of them never used illicit drugs, the other 40 also received a diagnose of addiction to psychoactive substances. The Free Recall Method was used to compare two examined groups. Background Global development goals increasingly rely on country-specific estimates for benchmarking a nation's progress. To meet this need, the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) 2016 estimated global, regional, national, and, for selected locations, subnational cause-specific mortality beginning in the year 1980. Here we report an update to that study, making use of newly available data and improved methods. GBD 2017 provides a comprehensive assessment of cause-specific mortality for 282 causes in 195 countries and territories from 1980 to 2017. Mentre le pseudorelative sono diffuse pressoché in tutta la Romània, con qualche variazione parametrica minore, i gerundi predicativi e gli infiniti preposizionali sono usati solo in alcune varietà. Diplomdarba “Sociālpedagoģiskā darbība verbālā mobinga mazināšanā starp vienaudžiem Rīgas X skolas 5. – 7. klasēs” mērķis ir raksturot verbālo mobingu un izstrādāt, un aprobēt sociālpedagoģisko programmu verbālā mobinga mazināšanā starp vienaudžiem Rīgas X skolas 5. – 7. klasēs. Teorētiskajā daļā autore sniedz mobinga vispārēju raksturojumu, verbālā mobinga izpausmes un verbālā mobinga mazināšanas iespējas izglītības iestādē. Praktiskajā daļā tika veikts pētījums Rīgas X skolas 5. – 7. klasēs. Autore izstrādāja un realizēja sociālpedagoģisko programmu “Sociālpedagoģiskā darbība verbālā mobinga mazināšanā starp vienaudžiem Rīgas X skolas 5. – 7. klasēs”.

Mobinga problēmas pazīmes ir sastopamas arī starp pirmsskolas vecuma bērniem un liela daļa bērnu ir pakļauti mobingam, kas var ietekmēt to turpmāko iekļaušanos sabiedrībā un pašvērtējuma veidošanos, taču mobinga mazināšanai pirmsskolās netiek pievērsta pienācīga uzmanība.
